Senior Software Product Manager – Tech

The Role:
We’re hiring a Senior Software Product Manager – Tech to lead the development of mission-critical software that powers water quality management across the U.S. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, compliance, customer success, and end-user experience, and will own key products from concept through execution.

In this role you’ll partner closely with Engineering and Design to scale our software architecture and accelerate delivery of new products. You’ll bring deep technical fluency and system thinking to the product team, translating real-world compliance complexity into elegant, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the roadmap for one or more product domains (e.g., sampling orchestration, lab integrations, compliance reporting)
• Work closely with engineers to define technical product requirements and make scope tradeoffs that balance value and feasibility
• Partner with customers, customer success, and subject matter experts to deeply understand workflows, pain points, and regulatory constraints
• Lead backlog grooming, sprint planning, and daily decision-making alongside a cross-functional squad
• Write detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and product specs that guide high-quality execution
• Use data, feedback, and field insights to measure success and iterate quickly
• Ensure system scalability, data integrity, and maintainability are considered from day one in every build
• Evangelize modern product thinking and serve as a force multiplier within our product and engineering org
  
  

What You Bring:

• 7+ years in Product Management, with 2+ years owning technical products or working in a highly technical environment
• Strong understanding of system design, APIs, data models, and architecture tradeoffs
• Excellent product discovery and user-centered design instincts
• Clear communicator, able to write, speak, and influence with confidence and clarity
• Experience working with agile development teams in a fast-paced SaaS environment
• A builder mindset, comfortable with ambiguity and excited by 0-to-1 product opportunities
• Bonus: experience in regulated industries, govtech, utilities, or infrastructure SaaS
