OpenBlue OpenBlue: This is How a Space Comes Alive

What you will do

  • Diagnose and rectify defects in Fire Detection and Alarm Systems (FDAS) and control panels onboard ships.
  • Execute retrofit and commissioning activities for AFDS and fire extinguishing systems (CO₂, FM200, Water Mist, Foam).
  • Perform annual maintenance contracts (AMC) for AFDS and fire extinguishing systems.
  • Troubleshoot software issues within control panels, including program upload/download.

How you will do it

  • Interpret manuals, P&ID diagrams, and electrical drawings for troubleshooting.
  • Apply control philosophy knowledge to implement retrofit solutions.
  • Analyze onboard logbook data to identify and resolve system defects.
  • Ensure compliance with marine safety standards and operational excellence.

What we look for

  • Education: Diploma/Degree in Instrumentation or Electronics Engineering
  • Experience: 2–4 years of hands-on service experience

Required

  • Expertise in servicing Addressable Fire Detection Systems and Fire Extinguishing Systems (CO₂, FM200, Water Mist, Foam).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
  • Willingness to travel across Indian ports.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of conventional/addressable fire detection systems.
  • Experience with naval and marine ship systems.
