You will work closely with customers, subcontractors, and internal field teams to keep planned work on track, resolve site issues efficiently, and maintain clear visibility of service delivery across the site.

Role Overview

This is a hands-on leadership role focused on on-site operations and maintenance for fire protection systems. You will coordinate the team, manage service activity, and support the delivery of preventative maintenance, demand maintenance, inspections, testing, commissioning, and remedial works across the site.

What you'll do

  • Oversee on-site activity for fire protection systems and coordinate the daily work of the team.
  • Plan and prioritize preventative maintenance, demand maintenance, service visits, inspections, and follow-up actions.
  • Act as a main point of contact for customers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams on site.
  • Monitor work orders, site progress, and documentation through CMMS and service software.
  • Support inspection, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and remedial works for fire detection, fire suppression, gas suppression, and related fire protection systems.
  • Coordinate resources, materials, purchase requests, and vendor support to keep work moving.
  • Maintain service records, progress updates, and required site documentation.
  • Promote safe working practices and consistent quality across all on-site activity.

How you'll do it

  • Stay close to the work by understanding site priorities, removing blockers, and keeping service delivery focused on what matters most to the customer.
  • Lead with accountability by making clear decisions, following through on commitments, and keeping safety and integrity at the center of every task.
  • Use CMMS and service software consistently to manage work orders, schedule maintenance, and maintain accurate records that support reliable delivery.
  • Coordinate proactively with customers, subcontractors, and field colleagues so work is planned, visible, and completed to standard.
  • Apply disciplined problem-solving to diagnose issues, support remedial action, and improve reliability through continuous improvement.
  • Work as one team by sharing information clearly, building trust, and drawing on diverse perspectives to support the site.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading or coordinating on-site operations or maintenance teams in a fire protection, building services, or related technical environment.
  • Strong knowledge of fire protection service delivery, including preventative maintenance, demand maintenance, inspections, and site-based coordination.
  • Practical experience with fire detection, fire suppression, gas suppression, or related fire safety systems.
  • Ability to manage customer communication, subcontractor coordination, and day-to-day site priorities.
  • Familiarity with CMMS, service software, and accurate work-order or maintenance documentation.
  • Sound understanding of health and safety requirements in an active site environment.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, or site documentation and translate them into action.
  • Strong organizational skills and a collaborative, customer-focused approach.

Preferred

  • Experience with fire extinguisher servicing or basic fire protection inspections.
