Job Overview:
The Director of Corporate Development will serve as a vital link between our company's strategy and finance teams. This role's primary responsibility will be to lead our upcoming Series C financing round in the first 12 months after onboarding. Amogy has successfully raised $220M to date, with the most recent $150M Series B announced earlier this year. The successful candidate will bring prior experience in successfully raising large capital rounds, with the ability to craft compelling presentations and financial documents that align with our growth objectives. This role can be located in our Brooklyn, NY or Houston, TX office location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Series C Financing Preparation: Collaborate with the strategy and finance teams to develop comprehensive materials required for the Series C financing round. This includes creating investor presentations, financial models, business plans, and other relevant documentation.
- Investor Relations: Engage with potential investors to convey our company's vision, value proposition, and financial performance. Be able to address inquiries and provide the necessary information to support the financing round.
- Due Diligence Support: Work closely with internal stakeholders to collect and organize all required due diligence materials to facilitate a smooth and efficient financing process.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct and oversee in-depth financial analysis to assess the company's financial health and project future performance, highlighting key metrics and growth potential for investors.
- Corporate Development: Upon successfully completing the Series C financing, this role will lead the corporate development function of the organization. This will involve identifying and evaluating strategic partnerships, mergers, acquisitions, and potential expansion opportunities.
The minimum requirements we seek:
- Experience: The ideal candidate should have 8-10 years of experience in finance, investment banking, M&A, or corporate strategy, with a proven track record of raising significant capital rounds.
- Financial Acumen: Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, modeling, and forecasting, with the ability to interpret financial data to support decision-making processes.
- Team Player: Strong collaboration skills are vital due to the cross-functional nature of the role and its significant impact on the company.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for effective engagements with investors and internal teams.
- Strategic Thinking: The candidate should possess a strategic mindset, capable of aligning financial goals with the company's long-term vision.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to identify challenges and provide creative solutions in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
- Clean Tech Industry Knowledge: A strong understanding of the clean tech industry and related trends is preferred, enabling the candidate to contextualize financial data and present the company's potential within the sector.
The salary pay range for this position is $185,000 to $238,000. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, job experience and physical location.
