What You’ll Be Doing:
We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to execute research and development projects from concept to scale-up. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to design, analyze, integrate, and test reactor and separation technologies for Amogy’s next-generation power solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing:
We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to execute research and development projects from concept to scale-up. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to design, analyze, integrate, and test reactor and separation technologies for Amogy’s next-generation power solutions.
- Develop and optimize components and assemblies for ammonia cracking and separation systems
- Perform conceptual and detailed mechanical design, including 3D modeling, material selection, stress analysis, design for manufacturing, equipment selection, and production drawing generation
- Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) on parts/assemblies under various thermal and mechanical loading conditions
- Calculate the lifetime of components subject to fatigue and creep failure modes.
- Act as a Structural Analysis Lead for the projects assigned
- Identify potential design issues and come up with solutions in the early design stage.
Minimum qualifications we seek:
- BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering with 8+ years of professional experience, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering with 4+ years of professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience in advanced FEA commercial software such as ANSYS and Abaqus.
- Deep understanding of structural and thermal analysis principles and simulation tools, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), manufacturing methods, and the overall product development process
- Experience creating production quality engineering drawings and CAD models in accordance with the ASME Y14 series of standards.Solid background in solid mechanics, dynamics, heat transfer, and thermodynamics.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical report writing, presentations, and briefings to management.
- Ability to work onsite in Brooklyn 5 days a week
