As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible sponsible to lead the transition of our products from design to full-scale production. You will help drive sourcing strategies, manage vendor relationships, and provide key insights into component sourcing and design optimization, with a focus on enhancing manufacturability, testing, assembly, and serviceability.
You will be expected to work independently, taking ownership of critical initiatives, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, reliability, safety, and service to launch Amogy’s next-generation power solutions.

As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible sponsible to lead the transition of our products from design to full-scale production. You will help drive sourcing strategies, manage vendor relationships, and provide key insights into component sourcing and design optimization, with a focus on enhancing manufacturability, testing, assembly, and serviceability.
You will be expected to work independently, taking ownership of critical initiatives, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, reliability, safety, and service to launch Amogy’s next-generation power solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Review conceptual and detailed mechanical design, including 3D modeling, material selection, stress analysis, design for manufacturability, equipment selection, and generate production drawings
- Advise on manufacturing tolerances and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) best practices
- Identify potential issues in the design process early and provide solutions
- Demonstrated knowledge of Design for Excellence (DfX) principles, particularly Design for Quality (DfQ)
- Assess external production processes, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify potential suppliers based on technical capabilities, scalability, and alignment with production specifications and quality standards
- Work closely with engineering, supply chain, and reliability teams to develop and define material specifications, process requirements, and product characteristics to ensure manufacturability and performance
- Qualify production processes based on dimensional data and control plans
- Occasional travel required (10%)
The minimum requirements we seek:
- BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering with 8+ years of professional experience, or equivalent
- Deep understanding of structural and thermal analysis principles and simulation tools
- Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), manufacturing methods including but not limited to welding, extruding/forming, sintering, milling, sheet metal fabrication & gun drilling, and the overall product development process
- Experience creating production quality engineering drawings and CAD models in accordance with the ASME Y14 series of standards
- Solid background in solid mechanics, dynamics, heat transfer, fluid flow and thermodynamics
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical report writing, presentations, and briefings to management
- Familiarity with QMS requirements, FAI, ISO 9001 &/or AS9100 standards, PFMEAs, APQP/PPAP & RCA tools
- Experience with working with stainless steels & inconels and understanding the manufacturing and cost limitations around them
