We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Verification Engineer to lead the design, installation, commissioning, operation, of our novel pilot plant and its sub-systems. In this strategic role, you will use your expertise in testing methodologies, process safety, equipment selection, troubleshooting and data analysis to drive the development of our cutting-edge Amogy PowerPack systems.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Verification Engineer to lead the design, installation, commissioning, operation, of our novel pilot plant and its sub-systems. In this strategic role, you will use your expertise in testing methodologies, process safety, equipment selection, troubleshooting and data analysis to drive the development of our cutting-edge Amogy PowerPack systems.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the development of comprehensive test plans to verify the functionality and reliability of process equipment and systems given the requirements
- Lead the commissioning and execution of complex tests ensuring accurate data collection and adherence to safety protocols. by collaborating with manufacturing, electrical, instrumentation and control engineer.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D materials, design engineers electrical and control engineers for successful commissioning, start-up and operation
- Investigate and troubleshoot complex issues or failures encountered during commissioning, start-up or testing by employing a systematic approach to identify root causes.
- Develop and implement test plans and operating procedures and protocols tailored to evaluate the performance of Amogy’s processes, address scale-up risks and optimize the operation
- Select and procure appropriate test equipment to enable Amogy’s lab and pilot operation
- Utilize advanced statistical analysis and data visualization tools to identify trends and performance issues and areas of improvement.
- Participate and lead discussions on Process Safety Analysis (HAZOP, HAZID, What-if and PSSR) and follow through with all the action items to mitigate hazards and improve process safety
- Oversee the maintenance, calibration, and repair of test equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and accuracy of measurements.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, advancements, and emerging technologies in catalytic reactors and gas separation technologies.
The minimum requirements we seek:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering with 10 years of industrial experience; master's degree preferred with 7 years of industrial experience.
- Proven track record in a senior technical role, such as Senior Chemical or Mechanical Test Engineer or a comparable position, with extensive experience in R&D pilot plant development, operations, or industrial-scale project execution.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, drive innovation, and deliver impactful solutions that optimize processes and enhance operational efficiency.
- Hands-on experience in commissioning, start-up, and operation of laboratory and pilot-scale units, as well as various process equipment and instrumentation.
- Proficient in troubleshooting, optimizing system performance, and ensuring seamless transition from development to scale-up.
- Extensive knowledge and practical experience with lab and pilot plant safety Process Hazard Analysis and different methodologies such as HAZID, HAZOP, What-If.
- Proficiency in using advanced test equipment, control systems, data acquisition systems, HMIs and other automation tools.
- Proven experience in Stage-Gate project implementation, with the ability to transform ideas into proof-of-concept in a laboratory setting and successfully scale-up for risk mitigation.
- Experience in developing Design of Experiments and using statistical tools for data analysis.
- Experience in leading the execution of a test plan campaign in pilot plant or lab setting.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and data visualization tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in executing tests and documenting results.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and workstreams simultaneously.
- Programming skills in scripting languages (e.g., Python) and experience with test automation tools are additional assets.
- Knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) is an additional asset
