Amogy is seeking a Director of Business Development to lead our commercial activities in the distributed power generation sector. Reporting to the VP, Business Development, the candidate will apply their commercial experience and expertise in the energy sector to shape the future of Amogy. This position will be based in Seoul, South Korea.

Amogy is seeking a Director of Business Development to lead our commercial activities in the distributed power generation sector. Reporting to the VP, Business Development, the candidate will apply their commercial experience and expertise in the energy sector to shape the future of Amogy. This position will be based in Seoul, South Korea.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead Commercial Engagements: Secure agreements for product deployments in distributed power generation markets.
- Foster Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with technical, strategy and product management teams to align customer needs with product development and corporate goals.
- Define and execute a comprehensive commercial strategy for Amogy’s distributed power generation market globally, in collaboration with the business development teams in Europe and Americas.
- Successfully drive commercial discussions to secure contracts and framework agreements
- Lead stakeholder relationship management, contract development, and commercial negotiations for both existing initiatives and new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships the existing customers and new business prospects including data center operators, IPPs, utilities, municipalities, manufacturing facilities, and others.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the Applications Engineering team and commercial stakeholders, ensuring alignment between technical and business objectives.
- Collaborate with the Strategy, Product, Operations, and Legal teams to share learnings, understand customers’ requirements, inform product development, and drive global success of the business.
- Represent Amogy at industry events and conferences.
The minimum requirements we seek:
- 10+ years of experience in business development, commercial, or other client-facing roles within the energy sector
- 5+ years of experience in distributed power generation systems
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Strong track record of closing deals, preferably for products involving new technologies
- Technical background or experience working closely with engineering or product teams
- Demonstrated ability to convey complicated commercial and technical concepts in a comprehensible manner.
- Entrepreneurial and collaborative spirit with high tolerance for ambiguity.
