We are an in-office company, and our expectation is that employees primarily work from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week. However, we also recognize the importance of flexibility and trust our employees to manage their schedules responsibly. This may include occasional remote work, starting the day with morning meetings from home before heading to the office, or leaving earlier when needed to accommodate family commitments. (Note: For EpiSci job openings, fully remote work will be considered by exception.)
About the role
We are a rapidly scaling, late-stage startup delivering advanced software platforms and AI-powered toolchains for the development, testing, validation, and deployment of ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) and autonomous vehicle systems. As Manager, Revenue Analytics within the Accounting team, you will play a critical role in supporting revenue recognition and driving actionable insights for the business. You will aggregate and analyze data from technical project managers (TPMs) and other stakeholders to determine percentage of completion for revenue contracts, perform budget-to-actual analysis, and collaborate closely with FP&A. This is a hands-on, data-driven role requiring strong analytical skills, business acumen, and the ability to communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
At Applied Intuition, you will:
- Aggregate, analyze, and interpret data from TPMs and other sources to determine percentage of completion for revenue contracts
- Support the revenue recognition process by preparing schedules, analyses, and documentation in accordance with ASC 606
- Perform budget-to-actual analysis on revenue contracts, identify variances, and provide explanations for differences between forecasted and actual results
- Collaborate with the FP&A team to share data, insights, and support financial planning and forecasting processes
- Develop and maintain dashboards, analytics, and reporting to provide actionable insights into revenue performance and key business metrics
- Work closely with TPMs, engineering, and project management teams to understand project milestones, deliverables, and progress
- Assist in the preparation of technical accounting memos and support audit requests related to revenue recognition
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue close activities within the Accounting organization
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline data collection, analysis, and reporting for percentage of completion calculations
- Contribute to IPO readiness activities, including process documentation and SOX compliance for revenue processes
- Assist with ad hoc analyses and special projects as needed
We're looking for someone who has:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field; progress toward CPA or advanced degree a plus
- 3+ years of relevant experience in revenue analytics, revenue accounting, or financial analysis, preferably in a software or technology company
- Experience with percentage of completion revenue recognition and ASC 606
- Experience with budget-to-actual analysis and variance reporting
- Strong analytical and data aggregation skills, with a high level of attention to detail
- Proficiency with Excel and experience with ERP or revenue systems (for example, NetSuite, Salesforce, or similar)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Nice to have:
- Experience supporting audits and preparing technical accounting documentation
- IPO experience
Compensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, 401k retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Note that benefits are subject to change and may vary based on jurisdiction of employment.
Applied Intuition pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum intended target base salary for new hire salaries for the position. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, interview performance, and the level and scope of the position.
Please reference the job posting’s subtitle for where this position will be located. For pay transparency purposes, the base salary range for this full-time position in the location listed is: $140,000 - $180,000 USD annually.
