We are an in-office company, and our expectation is that employees primarily work from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week. However, we also recognize the importance of flexibility and trust our employees to manage their schedules responsibly. This may include occasional remote work, starting the day with morning meetings from home before heading to the office, or leaving earlier when needed to accommodate family commitments. (Note: For EpiSci job openings, fully remote work will be considered by exception.)

About the role

The Global VehicleSim Sales Lead is responsible for all VehicleSim revenue. This is a mixture of management, strategy and individual selling work, reporting directly to the Global Head of Sales and working very closely with the GM of VehicleSim. This role involves developing and executing strategies to maximize revenue growth, managing 1 seller in each region and finding and closing deals directly. Expectation is 70% IC sales work and 30% management/strategy of the team.

As Global VehicleSim Sales Lead, you will be responsible for meeting and exceeding quarterly and annual revenue targets, recruiting and maintaining a team of top talent salespeople and day to day management of all global sales activities for VehicleSim. You will collaborate with sales operations, regional marketing, product, development engineering and applications engineering teams but most of your time will be spent selling the product and working directly with the team on deals to meet and exceed targets.

At Applied Intuition, you will:

  • Create a plan for sales execution of VehicleSim globally that meets or exceeds sales targets
  • Manage and maintain a quarterly/annual forecast per region and for the globe
  • Personally drive the most important deals and own many deals in North America to balance the load of the team (70% IC sales, 30% management and strategy)
  • Recruit and retaining a sales team right sized to the business goals with a multi-year plan to grow the team in accordance with global sales strategy and results
  • Maintain sales process and adherence to sales quality and hygiene standards as set by the Global Head of Sales
  • Collaborate with all business functions to execute sales strategy and ensure business goals are met, these departments include but are not limited to marketing, product, engineering and legal

We're looking for someone who has:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field eg: Electronic Engineering
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior sales and sales management role with a proven track record of managing sales teams and driving significant revenue growth
  • Proven experience of selling a mature technical product in engineering tooling and track record of winning against an established competition
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and manage a small global team of 3 people across all 3 regions (NA, APAC, EMEA)
  • The ability to be up early and late to manage the 3 regions and expectation to travel once a quarter to the regions
  • Experience with forecasting and sales revenue planning
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and market trends to drive strategic decisions
  • A strong track record of creating sales plans and playbooks to sell the product
  • A proven track record of hiring and retaining top talent

Compensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, 401k retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Note that benefits are subject to change and may vary based on jurisdiction of employment.

Applied Intuition pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum intended target base salary for new hire salaries for the position. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, interview performance, and the level and scope of the position.
