About us

Arca, a leader in carbon mineralization technology and XPRIZE Carbon Removal finalist, leverages heavy industry and mine waste to remove CO2 safely and permanently. To do this at scale, we partner with the minerals industry to implement our technology at mine sites, using their rock waste as our feedstock. These are the same mines that are producing the minerals necessary for the transition to a clean energy future. Arca’s founders are leaders in the field of carbon capture in mine tailings with more than 20 years of experience in innovation and research.

We believe that by working with nature, not against it, we can achieve carbon dioxide removal on the scale needed to secure thriving and abundant life on Earth for generations to come. If that resonates, we want to hear from you. We’re building a team of sharp, mission-driven, and collaborative individuals who take pride in using their skills to contribute to a sustainable future.

Position Overview

Arca is seeking a Partnership Development Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, this role will help us to identify and secure new project sites for Arca’s carbon removal technologies. This position will play a crucial role in expanding the supply of Arca’s high-quality carbon removal credits by finding and gaining access to new stockpiles of alkaline waste material while forging strong commercial relationships that are essential for the growth and success of our carbon removal business.

  • Identify and engage potential project partners who can provide access to relevant feedstocks. Develop and manage a robust partnership pipeline.
  • Build commercial relationships with key stakeholders through networking, cold outreach, and innovative strategies. Initiate contact with key individuals.
  • Conduct customer discovery to gauge the viability of projects, considering economic, operational, and regulatory factors. Facilitate techno-economic analyses and draft preliminary project plans.
  • Explore the value propositions for each feedstock partner, and how a CDR project may align with their business priorities and challenges.
  • Manage partner relationships from initial engagement to the execution of project agreements. Coordinate with Arca’s leadership and field teams to ensure agreements meet business goals.
  • Keep detailed records of business development activities and provide updates on progress and challenges.

Requirements of the role

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, science, or engineering.
  • Demonstrated success in business development, including initiating and nurturing commercial relationships, launching new products, or expanding business territories.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with a creative and persistent approach to achieving high targets.
  • Preferable experience in startup environments or similarly dynamic teams.
  • High aptitude for assimilating new information, forming critical questions, and deriving valuable insights. A keen interest in continual learning is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CRM systems, and digital collaboration tools.
