At Array Labs, we’re building the world’s first distributed radar imaging constellation to create an accurate, real-time 3D map of the world. Our groundbreaking technology enables humanity to comprehensively understand and respond to an ever-changing world.
We’re seeking a rare talent and exceptional designer who will help humanity see our world in an entirely new way. As our very first design hire, you will play a central role in conveying complex concepts and translating cutting-edge technical systems into compelling visual experiences across product, brand, marketing, and corporate communications. You will be instrumental in helping Array Labs inspire, inform, and engage a diverse target audience, ranging from Fortune 500 customers and the world’s biggest technology companies to technical communities, policymakers, Allied governments, and the general public.
Responsibilities:
- Visual Systems Architecture
- Establish foundational design principles and processes as our first design hire
- Build scalable design systems across Array's entire product suite, from Site3D and World3D to USG offerings
- Design systems that translate planetary-scale datasets into human-readable and machine-actionable information, with a focus 3D visualization and analysis
- Prototype intuitive interfaces, visualization tools, and UX systems that make 3D data accessible and actionable
- Brand and Communications Strategy
- Conceptualize, create, and maintain Array Labs' brand guidelines book
- Lead design for Array's most important communications, from product launches to corporate presentations
- Design clear visual systems that accurately represent complex space, radar, and geospatial concepts
- Craft iconoclastic creative across multiple mediums (print, digital, web, apparel)
- Implement design strategy across all customer-facing touchpoints
- Drive the evolution of our visual identity as we scale from early-stage startup to industry leader
- Product and Technical Design
- Embed with engineering and product teams to drive development of physics-accurate, scientifically precise data visualization tools
- Brainstorm and craft new ways to represent Array's technology stack, from space (SAR, formation flight dynamics, multi-static-radar) to cloud (3D reconstruction, point cloud processing, real-time change analysis) to Earth (site monitoring, infrastructure inspection, terrain analysis)
- Help shape the interfaces and systems that will unlock planetary-scale data – evolving from essential tools (maps, databases, monitoring dashboards) to intelligent systems (autonomous navigation, spatial computing, predictive modeling) to world-changing technologies (planetary digital twins, Earth foundation models, global simulations)
- Manage multiple high-priority projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and meeting deadlines in a fast-moving environment
- Balance competing priorities across product, marketing, engineering, and leadership teams, and eventually, balance user needs with technical constraints in complex systems
Basic Qualifications:
