About the Team

The accounting team is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and compliance with accounting standards. The accounting team consists of the corporate accounting team, technical accounting and financial reporting, revenue accounting, and accounts receivable teams. The team operates collaboratively, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement in financial processes. This role is to lead a four-person team that manages the accounting close, accounts payable, and payroll processes.

This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, collaborates across functions, and leads with both vision and execution. If you’re energized by the opportunity to build and refine the financial backbone of a mission-driven company, we’d love to meet you.

Your Impact

  • Plan and implement the accounting close process and related activities to ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal financial policies

  • Manage complex accounting processes for software development, allocations, stock-based compensation, commission capitalization, intercompany and consolidation

  • Manage the end-to-end payroll process, benefits accounting, and quarterly and annual payroll tax filings

  • Oversee all Accounts Payable functions including expense reporting and accruals

  • Review journal entries, reconciliations, and identify key trends in the P&L and balance sheet

  • Lead preparation for annual financial audit, coordinating with external auditors and internal stakeholders

  • Champion team growth through mentorship and hands-on leadership

  • Build scalable systems that drive efficiency and transparency

What You Bring

  • 8+ years of accounting experience and 4+ years leading teams

  • Mastery of US GAAP and SaaS accounting

  • CPA certification and a passion for operational excellence

  • Experience streamlining and optimizing accounting systems and processes

  • Clear, confident communication and an ability to influence cross-functionally

  • A strategic view of the numbers, with close attention to detail

  • Ability to manage ambiguity and meet deadlines while balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • “Roll-up the sleeves” approach to accomplishing all necessary tasks

  • Familiarity with NetSuite, Rippling, or Airbase

  • Payroll management experience
