Role:
We are looking for a driven and organized Field Project Manager to join our Field Operations Team and play a pivotal role in building the future of geothermal energy. This role is responsible for supporting the Field Operations Team by managing the logistical and executional aspects of geothermal construction projects, ensuring safe, timely, and effective deployment of critical field operations.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and executor who thrives in fast-paced, field-based environments. They possess excellent problem-solving skills, strong operational judgment, and a deep commitment to safety and scheduling discipline. You’ll coordinate everything from site prep and rig mobilizations to trenching and hot shots, while managing vendors and contractors, and maintaining construction schedules.
Responsibilities:
Schedule and Execution Support
Logistics support to maintain a set construction schedule
Develop and manage daily and weekly field schedules in alignment with master project timelines
Ensure critical path milestones are met through efficient coordination with operations crews, third party contractors, and equipment uptime
Monitor field productivity and proactively work alongside field operations crews to address schedule risks
Site Logistics and Mobilization
Oversee all site preparation, including pad construction, access planning, and utility coordination.
Coordinate rig mobilizations and demobilizations, ensuring safe and efficient transitions between boreholes or drilling locations.
Coordinate and track hot shot deliveries of time-sensitive materials or equipment.
Contractor Oversight
Supervise third-party construction contractors and service providers, ensuring work meets scope, quality, safety, and schedule expectations.
Conduct daily check-ins, verify work progress, and resolve field issues collaboratively.
Problem Solving and Field Leadership
Apply critical thinking to rapidly identify operational bottlenecks and work cross-functionally to deploy on-the-ground solutions.
Escalate challenges appropriately and propose mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
Maintain clear field documentation and reporting for progress, issues, and key decisions.
Safety & Compliance
Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and field HSE practices.
Participate in daily safety briefings and conduct field inspections as needed.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of project management experience in field-based construction and logistics.
Proven ability to manage field operations and multi-vendor construction schedules.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to track and drive multiple concurrent tasks.
Ability to manage budgets, level bids, and negotiate with vendors.
Working knowledge of heavy equipment for trenching, rig operations, and construction logistics.
Valid driver’s license and flexibility to travel regularly to remote project sites.
Preferred:
10+ years of project management experience in field-based construction and logistics.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Experience in geothermal, oil & gas, utility-scale solar, civil construction, or similar industries.
Experience with project management tools (Primavera, MS Project, Procore, etc.).
Familiarity with environmental permitting, utility coordination, and subsurface construction.
Salary:
$105,000-140,000 base salary depending on experience, plus equity and benefits
