About the role
We are currently seeking a highly motivated Operations Associate to play a central role in ensuring the efficient operation and administration of our CPI/PUC-Rio office in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
This role will work closely with the whole Brazil team. So, the ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues and external partners will be essential to the success of this role.
We’re looking for a self-motivated individual who brings enthusiasm and energy to their work. Someone who can identify and act on opportunities for improvement will be key. As a standalone role you’ll have the autonomy to make impactful decisions and contribute to creating a positive work environment. You’ll need to have a systems focused approach with the ability to juggle a busy and varied workload.
Roles and responsibilities
Includes the following and others as assigned:
Office Management:
• Oversee the day-to-day Brazil office management, including managing office supplies and related expenses; facilities, and ensuring a safe and welcoming workplace
• Provide office support to Brazil based employees
• Coordinate with PUC-Rio on issues and improvements regarding CPI’s office spaces
• Maintain technology equipment (laptops) by calling for repairs; monitoring equipment operation; monitoring and purchasing and inventory management
• Undertake and support special projects as required.
Event Support:
• Provide office support to the Brazil based employees
• Assist with internal and external events planning and management
• Support the purchase of travel, accommodation, and other services for events and speaking engagements.
Administrative Support:
• Support the operations function with administration tasks, such as office, supplies and subscriptions management
• Support management of Dropbox, Microsoft Teams, and other operational platforms
HR Support:
• In close relationship with the Global People Manager, support onboarding, offboarding and professional development operations
• Oversee the recruitment process for all new roles – posting roles, coordinating interviews, ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the process and that hiring managers are updated ( Coordinate the dissemination of new open positions in Brazil Coordinate interviews and hiring processes in collaboration with hiring managers and Global People Manager)

• Confidence with all Microsoft Office Suite is essential for this role.
• You have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• You are detail oriented and have strong organizational skills.

• You are self-motivated with a passion for learning.
• You are flexible and willing to jump into tasks as needed.
• Written and spoken fluency in Portuguese and English
Position Details
CPI is recruiting for one full-time position to be based in our Rio de Janeiro office at PUC-Rio. CPI has adopted hybrid working whereby staff are able to work a mix of remote and in the office. Although the nature of this role means some elements will be best fulfilled when on-site so regular office attendance will be required from this role.
CPI salary offers are determined by the level of skill and experience demonstrated by the selected candidate as well as alignment to internal equity and external market levels.
