The candidate will provide essential support to the legal and government teams by ensuring meticulous documentation and maintenance of enterprise and export compliance. Key responsibilities encompass liaising with regulatory bodies, maintaining precise documentation, and orchestrating compliance initiatives across various departments. Proficiency in creating and managing an enterprise risk register is imperative, alongside bolstering export compliance efforts. Daily tasks involve collaborating with HR to identify employees necessitating deemed export licenses and upholding precise records of compliance-related activities.

How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:

  • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance risks and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide guidance and support to internal teams on compliance-related matters, including training sessions and awareness programs.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation to support compliance efforts and facilitate regulatory audits.
  • Support and oversee export compliance activities, ensuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
  • Lead investigations into compliance issues or violations, working closely with relevant departments to resolve issues and implement preventive measures.
  • Generate regular reports and metrics to measure export compliance performance and identify areas for enhancement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate compliance and security requirements into business processes and projects.
  • Develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date with current regulations and industry best practices.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for export compliance inquiries and provide timely and accurate responses to regulatory agencies.
  • Liaising with outside attorneys, consultants, customs brokers, and applicable Government Authority.
  • Obtain and maintain a Facility Clearance (FCL) in accordance with National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and manage the facility’s security program to ensure compliance with government regulations and contractual security requirements.
  • Conduct regular security audits and assessments to identify potential security risks and implement corrective actions.
  • Support investigations into security incidences, working closely with relevant departments to resolve issues and implement preventive measures.

Minimum Qualifications We are seeking:

  • [4-10+] years of experience with regulatory compliance in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong organization, oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong computer aptitude, which includes expertise with Microsoft and G-Suites as well as experience with ERP system.
  • Knowledge of export control regulations (e.g., ITAR, EAR) and [experience designing and managing export compliance programs].
  • Experience in developing and delivering compliance training programs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Above and Beyond Qualifications that will distinguish you:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or demonstrated project management experience
  • Government Secret Security Clearance
  • Experience with implementing Information Technology solutions
  • Experience in designing export control (e.g., ITAR, EAR) compliance program
