How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:
- Government Sales & Legislative Insight

- Understand legislative and regulatory processes, including federal appropriations cycles, airport funding programs, grant mechanisms (e.g., AIP, IIJA, IRA), and agency procurement rules.
- Monitor emerging policy developments that impact electric aircraft charging and translate them into actionable sales strategies.
- Engage with policymakers, staffers, government program leads, and contracting officials to position BETA’s charging solutions.
- Salesforce & CRM Management
- Manage Salesforce objects, workflows, and dashboards to track government-specific opportunities, RFPs, grants, and legislative-driven funding opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and compliant records for government pipelines, including documentation required for public-sector procurement.
- Develop standardized government sales reports and contribute to forecasting across budget years and appropriations cycles.
Government Customer Engagement & Technical Sales Support:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for government inquiries, new program interests, and agency partnerships.
- Conduct early-stage discovery with airports, bases, government operators, and public agencies to understand mission profiles and infrastructure needs.
- Translate technical charging system capabilities into government use cases through clear, accessible communication.
- Coordinate follow-up actions with sales, engineering, policy, and product teams.
- Proposal, RFP, & Policy-Aligned Document Development
- Lead the development of government proposals, RFP/RFI responses, technical volumes, and program-specific documentation.
- Maintain a library of government-compliant language, including technical descriptions, past performance, pricing structures, and policy-aligned narratives.
- Collaborate with engineering, legal, government relations, and product teams to ensure proposals meet both technical and statutory requirements.
Data, Process, & Compliance Management:
- Organize internal databases related to government sites, policy-driven projects, and infrastructure programs.
- Support compliance processes, including FAR/DFARS considerations, government contract documentation, and funding eligibility guidelines.
- Create structured workflows for version control, audit-ready document tracking, and cross-functional alignment.
- Market Development & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with cross-functional teams—including Government Affairs, Engineering, Product, Finance, and Business Development—to shape government charging strategies and program requirements.
- Assist with prospecting federal, state, and municipal airports; DoD installations; and other public-sector host sites.
- Support preparations for agency briefings, demos, test programs, and industry/government events.
- Conduct market research on government funding programs, legislative movement, and competitive landscapes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3–5+ years of experience in government sales, public-sector business development, legislative policy, or government contracting.
- Understanding of the federal legislative process, appropriations cycles, and government procurement pathways.
- Proficiency with Salesforce (data management, reporting, dashboards, and opportunity tracking).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience drafting government proposals or RFP responses.
