From a distributed energy resources (DER) and grid edge perspective, Bidgely is advancing smart meter innovation with data-driven solutions for solar PVs, electric vehicle (EV) detection, EV behavioral load shifting and managed charging, energy theft, short-term load forecasting, grid analytics and time of use (TOU) rate designs. How You Fit In

Role Overview:

• Lead design, optimization, governance of global data infrastructure.

• Ensure seamless data integration, strong data quality, and robust governance.

• Bring expertise in AWS, data modeling (structured/unstructured), GenAI applications, and startup mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Architecture:
  Design data lakes (Delta Lake/Iceberg), build warehouses (Redshift, Snowflake, Databricks), develop hybrid/Data Vault models, and optimize Cassandra/MySQL DBs.

• Data Integration:
  Build scalable pipelines (Airflow, Step Functions), manage APIs, real-time streams, SAP integrations; handle authentication, scaling, and code optimization (Java, Python, Scala).

• Data Governance:
  Implement policies, ensure PII compliance, enforce encryption/access controls, maintain high data quality.

• Performance Monitoring:
  Set up monitoring (CloudWatch), optimize performance and cost, manage upgrades and production health.

• Collaboration:
  Lead architectural council participation, cross-team collaboration, and client interactions for custom solutions.

• Innovation:
  Stay updated on GenAI and data tech trends; drive POCs and tech debt cleanups.

Qualifications:

• Strong hands-on with AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, Delta Lake/Iceberg, Cassandra, MySQL, Airflow, Trino, and Spark.

• Skilled in Java, Scala, Python.

• Deep knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance.

• 10+ years experience in data engineering/architecture.

• Startup and leadership mindset; experience with IaC (Terraform) and Kubernetes preferred.
