Bidgely is an AI-powered, cloud based SaaS solution provider that enables
electric and gas utilities worldwide to personalize customer experiences,
optimize grid and customer operations and accelerate their journey towards the
clean energy future.
The Energy Industry is being disrupted by a number of new technologies like EVs,
Solar, Batteries, Smart Meters, and Smart Home devices. Consumers are
becoming self-sufficient with their own energy production and storage
threatening a century old utility business model. Additionally, the grid was not
designed for the peaks created by EVs and the valleys created by the solar
generation which has created new challenges and opportunities for the utilities
(and innovative companies) to manage an evolving grid.
Position Summary
As a Solutions Consultant you are the technical quarterback for strategic utility
sales. Your primary charter is to drive revenue growth by translating complex
customer needs into winning solutions and compelling value stories. A
secondary, stretch mandate is to Influence Bidgely’s long‐term product and
go‐to‐market strategy through market insight and thought leadership. The role is
a very good mix of solution design, proposal development, client engagement,
technical expertise, and establishing strategy and growing the company.
Core Deliverables - Drive Revenue Growth
● Provide strategic support as a subject matter expert (SME) by
understanding customers’ unique business challenges and own technical
discovery and qualification.
● Design solution architectures and value stories that align Bidgely
capabilities with customer outcomes, securing the “technical win.”
● Orchestrate and deliver live and self‐service demos, pilots, and
proof‐of‐concepts and presentations including at industry events
● Work with the sales/marketing/presales teams to strategize pricing and
packaging, develop winning RFP/non-RFP proposals, and build client
strategies; contribute new reusable artifacts each quarter.
● Build business cases and ROI models in collaboration with Value
Engineering to advance deals to economic approval.
Other Deliverables - Influence Long-term Strategy / Growth
● Serve as “voice of the utility” to Product, surfacing market gaps,
competitive signals, and regulatory trends.
● Author reference architectures and white papers that open new vertical
or functional plays.
● Pilot emerging use cases (e.g., EV load management, AMI 2.0 analytics)
and quantify impact.
● Mentor junior SCs; lead brown‐bag sessions to disseminate best practices.
What You Will Bring
● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; MBA a plus
● 4+ years in Solutions Consulting / Sales Engineering for SaaS or enterprise
software.
● Domain expertise in utilities, energy analytics, or grid technology (AMI,
DERs, DSM, EV)
● Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key
stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including CXOs.
● Strong data analytical skills
● Experience developing & delivering client-focused solutions to anticipate
and exceed customer needs
● Executive‐level communication, facilitation, and workshop skills.
● Ability to travel up to 20 % across North America.
Success Key Performance Indicators (For Full Year)
● Update standard presales content for proposals, presentations,
competitive analysis, and SWOT analysis on a biannual basis
● Strategize & standardize RFPs and ensure high quality output to reduce
RFP-related executive workload by at least 15%
● Scope and write 15 non-solicited proposals as the SME lead
● Prepare and present at least 25+ client presentations and demos
alongside international sales team
● Represent Bidgely at 2+ conferences; present or participate in panel in at
least 2+ conferences
