How You Fit In

At Bidgely, the Inside Business Development Representative (BDR) team is critical to driving top-of-funnel growth and building relationships that set the stage for transformative change. This role isn’t about checking boxes—it’s about breaking through the noise to help utility leaders understand how AI can solve their immediate pain points and a key role in the clean energy transition.

We need someone who thrives on solving problems, working cross-functionally, and communicating complex solutions with clarity. Ideal candidates have the technical aptitude and sales acumen to make an impact, and are excited about the challenge of helping utilities modernize through AI.

Diligence and relationship building are crucial. You’ll be the tip of the spear, driving conversations that matter and setting the foundation for long-term success.

As a Business Development Representative you will:


Core Functions:

Build and Grow the Pipeline:

  • Generate Sales Accepted Leads (SALs) through executing disciplined outreach strategies across calls, emails and social connections for both Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) and High-Value Prospects that have not engaged with Marketing Campaigns.

  • Own and maintain lead databases through Sales Loft and adhere to designed outreach sequence strategy.

  • Carefully prepare for each outbound communication by leveraging Lead IQ, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Demandbase to build a clear understanding of the individual and the company.

  • Successfully convert outbound communications into Meetings Booked, Meetings Held and SALs by engaging prospects on specific challenges and effectively positioning Bidgely’s portfolio.

  • Qualify leads using BANT, identifying high-potential opportunities.

  • Support the efforts of the Account Executives in converting SALs to Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs)

  • Leverage strategic events by booking key meetings and progressing account plans.

  • Keep detailed records in the CRM to ensure a clean, actionable pipeline.

Drive Results and Collaborate:

  • Work closely with sales, marketing, and other teams for seamless lead handoffs and alignment.

  • Report regularly on pipeline progress, tracking key metrics to measure success.

  • Use data-driven insights to optimize outreach strategies for maximum impact.

  • Share real-time feedback with marketing to fine-tune messaging and campaigns.

Targeted Outreach and Relationships:

  • Collaborate with marketing and sales to craft targeted campaigns for key accounts.

  • Research accounts, identify decision-makers, and tailor outreach to their needs.

  • Engage prospects through personalized, multi-channel outreach to build awareness.

  • Continuously refine strategies based on performance and engagement.

  • Build lasting relationships, acting as a trusted ambassador for Bidgely.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven Sales Driver: 3-5 years in sales or marketing, preferably in B2B or SaaS, with a strong track record of building and maintaining a robust pipeline.

  • Elite Communicator: Exceptional interpersonal skills, able to build and maintain relationships at all levels—internally and externally.

  • Highly Organized with a Growth Mindset: Able to juggle multiple priorities, while continuously seeking ways to improve and learn.

  • Tech-Savvy and Data-Driven: Comfortable with CRMs like Salesforce and outreach tools like Salesloft, using data to inform strategy and decisions.

Compensation

  • The salary for this position ranges from $60,000-$75,000 with up to $30,000 variable earnings.

  • Pay rates vary by state and are based on factors such as local cost of living and market conditions.

In accordance with the California Equal Pay and Pay Transparency laws , the approximate annual base compensation range is listed above. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be determined by a number of factors including the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.


Location

  • This is a remote role with no more than 10% travel
