As our lead lab equipment maintenance technician, you'll be responsible for keeping the operation running smoothly so our scientists and engineers can work efficiently. Blue Current runs one of the top battery development facilities in the San Francisco Bay Area. This includes multiple dry rooms, a wet lab, battery cycling and pilot manufacturing labs. These labs are full of amazing equipment used to manufacture and test materials and full batteries. This is a critical position with lots of cross-functional engagement with our research, production and facilities teams. This position will offer hands-on, fast paced work on a growing team that has a shared passion to change the energy storage landscape.

Responsibilities And Qualifications

• 5+ years of equipment maintenance experience
• Hazardous materials and contaminated component handling experience
• Experience with chemical and process equipment hygiene required
• Exceptional commitment to Safety 1st procedures
• LOTO experience required
• Clean Room or Dry room experience required
• Piping & Instrumentation Diagram interpretation experience highly desired
• Glove Box system maintenance and troubleshooting experience highly preferred
• Experience using hand tools, power tools required
• Experience following engineering troubleshooting documentation required
• Sensor preventative maintenance experience preferred
• Pressure systems greater than 90psi / vacuum system less than 10-3 torr experience required
• ○ KF, Sanitary fitting best practices
• ○ Swagelok plumbing/fitting best practices
• ○ Process piping leak detection and repair
• ○ Experience diagnosing manual and electrically operated valves
• ○ Sensor calibration experience highly desired

This job will require some occasional lifting of equipment less than 50lbs. Lifting aides will be provided as requested and according to generally accepted safety 1st practices
