Position Description

This is an extraordinary opportunity to join a well-funded, emerging growth stage company who has re-invented HVAC. We at Blue Frontier are racing to solve the biggest sustainability problem in the world with our ultra-efficient, disruptive air conditioning and dehumidification technology for commercial buildings.
We are seeking a Sales Support Engineer to join our dynamic team in Boca Raton, Florida with the desire to grow into a Regional Sales Manager. You will report to the Area General Manager as part of the business development team. You will train heavily with the engineering department to understand every aspect of our technology with the intention of educating the broader market. You will also shadow the customer support, post-sale project management team with the intention of gaining a deep understanding of the start-up, commissioning and servicing or our products.
While being immersed in learning the technology, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical, engineering and administrative support to the sales & Marketing team to maximize the team’s efficiency and effectiveness. A strong willingness to manage the customer relationship software (currently Salesforce) is a must. Data entry, report generation, and providing insights from the data are a major component of this job. If interested, the successful candidate could then take that knowledge and potentially grow into an outside Sales Engineering role, managing national or international accounts.
Role and Responsibilites
Provide Technical Support:
  • Develop and Present in-depth technical presentations to customers, partners and investors.
  • Assist in product selection, sizing, and system design based on customer requirements.
  • Support customer visits for product demonstrations and presentations to educate customers on technical features and benefits.

Sales & Marketing Support:

  • Assist with prospective customer outreach, coordinating responses to incoming enquiries and booking sales meetings.
  • Assist in the preparation of sales proposals, presentations, and technical documents.
  • Collaborate with sales team to develop sales strategies and identify new business opportunities.
  • Coordinate with R&D, Product Development and Manufacturing teams regarding technical requirements for proposals, including for any product customization or enhancement required for specific projects.
  • Maintain the library of product documentation & literature used for the sales team, coordinating updates when needed.
Administrative Tasks:
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, proposals and related data, entering all information into Salesforce
  • Ensure that customer records and contact details in Salesforce are up to date, including using ZoomInfo to synchronize up to date company and contact information into Salesforce
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and analyses on sales pipeline and performance
  • Coordinate with manufacturing and field & customer services teams to ensure timely delivery of products and services.
Experience and Skills
Education and Experience
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a STEM subject, preferably Engineering
  • 3 years’ experience in a Sales Support, Sales Engineering or Project Support role
  • A desire to grow into a Sales Engineering role, managing a nationwide account base and mentoring other Sales & Marketing Support Engineers entering the position
  • A plus but not required: Knowledge of applied product sales and implementation. Experience with specifying and selling commercial HVAC products would be a plus.
  • A plus but not required: Knowledge and understanding of commercial HVAC industry applications; ability to read and understand MEP drawings and specifications
Skills and Abilities
  • Comfortable presenting in front of large audiences
  • IT Proficient, including Microsoft suite (Powerpoint, Word, Excel) and Salesforce
  • Self-motivated with a desire to work in a high performance, rapid paced start-up and pro-actively provide support where/when needed
  • Well organized with a structured approach to project and task delivery
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable presenting in front of large audiences

Location and Travel
This role will be based out of our Boca Raton corporate office which is located close to Boca Raton Tri-Rail station. Being in the office daily is required. This role may include some travel, up to 20%.
