Job Description:
As a Site Reliability Engineer, you'll play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure and software services that power our technology platforms. Your mission is to ensure that systems are highly available, scalable, secure, and efficient. You'll work closely with engineering teams to automate operations, resolve performance bottlenecks, and support the reliability of our digital solutions.
You'll be part of a high-performing, dynamic team of engineers, collaborating with technology leaders to shape and deliver innovative compute and data platforms that drive real impact across the business.
What You'll Deliver
- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of large-scale, cloud-native applications and infrastructure.
- Automate routine operational tasks and improve system observability to drive efficiency.
- Monitor systems proactively to detect issues and implement automated recovery strategies.
- Collaborate with software developers, DevOps engineers, and IT operations to enhance system performance and resilience.
- Analyze incidents and outages to identify root causes and implement long-term fixes.
- Contribute to platform architecture by building scalable and secure infrastructure solutions.
What You'll Need to Be Successful
Qualifications & Technical Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience.
- Relevant certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), DevOps, or architecture are a strong plus.
- Familiarity with core networking concepts, protocols, and modern infrastructure tools.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and thrive in evolving environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working across development and operations teams.
- Experience with configuration management, CI/CD, incident resolution, and system optimization for availability and performance.
Software Skills
- Proficient in TypeScript, C#, and Python, with the ability to write secure, testable, and maintainable code.
- Understanding of system design and architecture principles.
- 2+ years of experience in software development, ideally within platform or service engineering roles.
- Familiar with software engineering best practices across the SDLC—version control, code reviews, CI/CD, testing, and deployment.
- Experience supporting and operating production systems with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
Infrastructure Skills
- Strong experience with Linux/Unix systems, including configuration, networking, and debugging.
- Hands-on experience building and scaling infrastructure on AWS or Microsoft Azure.
- Proficient in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Familiar with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) and logging solutions (e.g., ELK stack).
- Understanding of core cloud infrastructure services including identity, storage, networking, databases, containers, and serverless platforms.
- Knowledge of a range of databases—relational, document, key-value, and graph—including performance tuning techniques.
