The Counterparty Due Diligence (CDD) Enablement Manager is responsible for ensuring that CDD assessments are conducted in accordance with the requirements of the CDD Practice in bp, including the requirement to observe all data privacy regulations and the need to maintain a systematic audit trail for all decisions and controlled document retention.
You are leading the CDD SMEs, who are responsible for all critical issues from the CDD analyst and will be the primary CDD point of contact for the relevant business and act as the bridge between Legal/E&C and FBT in cases review.
You will also take accountability for developing the SME capabilities and ensuring FBT CDD has the right approach and recommendations to how we handle Higher risk counterparties.
Key Accountabilities
Process Leadership
Take ownership of the CDD Operational process across the FBT centres, with specific focus on higher risk counterparties for the on-boarding, refresh and on-going monitoring process. This include the CDD critical issues process handled by the CDD SMEs.
To approve the assignment of High Risk to counterparties
Lead all aspects of and facilitate the development of CDD capability into the team across the centres, including developing capabilities of SMEs.
Design the SME Capability required to support the new CDD process and deploy in a phased approach via the TOM including the development of the capability in the Operational locations
Work with the segments to establish the insights/recommendation framework required to reduce reliance on specialist SME’s (E&C, Legal, etc)
Support business growth agenda and critical initiatives in line with CDD risk management requirements
Ensure Compliance to CDD procedures by working closely with CDD Operations, CDD Process and Assurance, Ethics & Compliance, Segments and Legal teams.
Ensure counterparty data integrity in the systems is preserved and enhanced in line with CDD procedures. Support the process to provide critical metrics and MI supporting the effective operations of the CDD team and in support of internal and external reporting and assurance
Actively participate in the CDD practitioner and networking forums. To be the SPA from the CDD team for the segment allocation
Participate and contribute to the reviews of the CDD and High Risk Agent Group Control Process (HRAGCP) with fellow practitioners and subject matter authorities from Ethics & Compliance (E&C), Legal,Segment etc. To be the SPA from the CDD team for the segment allocation
Provide subject matter expertise to team members across the CDD organisation (including SMEs) or wider business to ensure appropriate level of rigor is applied to CDD and HRAGCP evaluations of counter-parties
Work closely with E&C, Finance Groups, Procurement Groups, Credit Group, Internal Control and supported businesses.
Act as an advisor to E&C, Legal and Segments on CDD Operational matters.
Responsible for the ELS and Sustaining period the new CDD Process and TOM including business/partner engagement
Review demand from Segments/Business and capacity of the CDD Team to effectively resource and meet business objectives.
In Conjunction with the Head of CDD establish the right governance and business oversight required with the different businesses and policy partner insights
Process and Data Integrity
Ensure all information are stored securely in accordance with the requirements of the CDD process ensuring compliance with any data privacy requirements
Maintain the consolidated Key Process Indicators for CDD process and input to segment risk heads and E&C.
Drive system, tools and process standardisation
Implement process automation
Global People Management
Act as line manager for SMEs across the centre.
Participate actively in FBT Enablement talent management processes to develop skills and capability within the team that provides developmental opportunities and meaningful career paths for members of the service delivery network.
Support the development of the new organisation culture within FBT CDD organisation, in line with the FBT Employee Value Proposition to retain and attract the right talent, and encourage a high performing culture
Lead the relevant partner relationships within other FBT Services lines, and with the segment teams
Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE)
Follow all BP’s Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) policies and procedures and all HSSE directions of line manager or HSSE Manager
Participate in HSSE training and discussions, workplace inspections and audits, assist in the resolution of Health & Safety issues, and contribute to successful implementation of HSSE programmes and initiatives
Essential Education, Experience and Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting, or related field; or professional certification such as ACAMS or ICA.
10+ years of working experience in CDD and Pre-Qualification / AML, Compliance, Finance, Accounting, Business or related field.
Significant experience of people management and handling large scale operation
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
Strong partner relationship management skills
A proactive and dynamic approach
Ability to communicate and influence across different levels in the organization.
