Regional Operations Manager

The Regional Operations Manager is accountable for the operational and financial performance of the Global Marine & Energy (GME) lubricants business, supporting the overall customer experience in offer delivery, order management, demand planning and sales support coordination within the designated geographical area.

In this role You will:

  • Responsible for communicating and networking with GME Sales teams to develop and improve the customer offer and its delivery ensuring full alignment between Sales and Customer Operations activities.
  • Oversee customer and order management performance delivery through the FBT areas covering the different business channels (Direct Marine and Energy and Indirect.
  • Ensure operational excellence in own team and FBT team through capability building, coaching, and monitoring as well as continuous improvement in processes and the ways of working with focus on value activities across the order to invoice end-to-end process.
  • Support execution of customer experience initiatives,
  • ITR process management (Trade sanctions)
  • Drive application of the Smart Gains framework of “Focus, Measure, improve” to the services offered and deliver value.
  • Measure and report value delivered in close collaboration with Finance operations.
  • Facilitate the resolution of incidents/issues through Incident Management Teams (IMT)
  • Holds the interface between the business and the GSC representing the global voice of the GME business in GSC forums.
  • Resolve a broad variety of customer fulfillment related issues that frequently have a high degree of complexity, providing authoritative advice and expertise to diagnose, investigate and resolve.
  • Recording and reporting performance gaps and offering implementation issues that arise.
  • Accountable for product compliance within region and systems are set up to support the required marketing product offer in country location including Customer Complaint resolution.
  • Lead and or support business projects through Agile or Capital Value Processes from Appraisal to Execution.
  • Implement, adapt and use of new digital tools to drive efficiency and improve processes.
  • Manages key tactical & critical initiatives within the region.
  • Works closely with GSC and Sales on SLOBs mitigations

What You will need to be successful:

  • Fluency in English
  • Minimum of 10 years in Supply Chain or Business Operation’s Management related areas.
  • Experience managing teams across a large geographic footprint, with diverse businesses, is required.
  • Wider general management and cross-cultural experience would be a significant benefit.
  • Supply operations or order management experience.
  • Project management and process optimization experience in business and operations
  • Understanding of shipping, Marine, oil & gas market, logistics, global dynamics, trends, regulatory environment desirable
  • Proven abilities of dealing with and influencing multiple internal and external partners both within and outside the organization
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, energize, and motivate diverse teams to deliver performance.
