Test Automation Engineer (iTwin Application)

Location: Lithuania (Home-based, Hybrid or Office-based)

Position Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Test Automation Engineer to help shape the future of engineering applications and workflows, spanning cloud and desktop, and utilizing the bleeding-edge technologies that are part of Bentley’s unique and rapidly growing Digital Twin ecosystem.

Successful candidates will join a highly skilled international team in a highly visible, mission-critical role. In this role, you will maintain and expand the automated test suite for the Digital Twin ecosystem on which the next generation of engineering applications is built.

You will bring demonstrable experience in automated QA for cloud or hybrid cloud/desktop solutions, knowledge of TypeScript, PowerShell, and CI/CD systems, enthusiasm for cutting-edge technologies, and a drive to continuously experiment, challenge yourself, and learn.

We will rely on you for the following:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites to ensure software quality and compliance with specifications.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand new features and updates, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
• Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies, providing detailed information for the development team to resolve issues efficiently.
• Advocate for quality assurance best practices throughout the software development lifecycle, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Analyze test results, generate reports on software performance, and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
• Manage the integration of automated tests into the continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
• Conduct performance, scalability, and reliability tests on cloud and desktop applications.
• Stay abreast of new technologies and tools in quality assurance, integrating them into testing practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

What You Bring to The Team:

• More than two years of proven work experience in automated QA, particularly with cloud or hybrid cloud/desktop solutions.
• Proficiency in programming and scripting languages, particularly TypeScript, PowerShell, and JavaScript.
• Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes, including test case management and defect tracking systems.
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) systems.
• Experience with source code version control systems, particularly Git and GitHub.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a highly collaborative international team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent work experience.

What would make you stand out:

• Experience with Bentley Systems products or similar engineering software applications.
• Knowledge of agile scrum development, continuous delivery, and DevOps processes.
• Experience with desktop applications automation.
• Experience with modern automated testing frameworks (Playwright, etc.).
• Experience with web-based desktop application frameworks (Electron, etc.).

Please note if you are employed full-time, the salary for this position ranges from 2000 EUR gross (before taxes-Lithuania) depending on knowledge and experience.
