Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Managing Editor - Content to lead the development and execution of our content strategy. In this pivotal role, you will manage a team of content creators, ensuring the production of high-quality content that aligns with the company’s objectives. You will oversee the editorial direction, ensuring consistency across all content touchpoints, while optimizing for performance and engagement. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in editorial leadership, content strategy, and team management within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Content & Data Management:

• Build and manage comprehensive content and data assets in the EV and EV Charging Infrastructure space.
• Create ontologies and analyze trends to ensure content stays relevant and up to date with the latest industry developments.

Content Creation & Supervision:

• Lead the content generation process, overseeing a team of writers in generating high-quality content for thought leadership, marketing, and SEO purposes.
• Manage the editing and publishing process, ensuring all content is clear, accurate, and engaging.

Quality Control:

• Proofread and edit all public-facing content, including articles, white papers, blogs, emails, social posts, and other marketing materials.
• Ensure content aligns with company goals and quality standards.

Team Development:

• Hire, train, and manage writers and editors to grow a highly effective content team.
• Document content and publishing guidelines to ensure consistency and efficiency across all content efforts.

Collaboration with Leadership:

• Meet with the Leadership team to keep all team members updated on the content calendar, aligning efforts with the company's strategic goals.
• Gain a deep understanding of the company's products and translate complex product features and functions into clear, engaging content.

Content Strategy & Evaluation:

• Evaluate the effectiveness of existing content and continuously develop innovative approaches for improvement.
• Proactively seek feedback from internal and external stakeholders to drive content enhancement.

Publishing & Promotion:

• Publish content using our CMS tool, ensuring content is appropriately formatted and optimized for delivery.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to promote published content across relevant channels and drive engagement.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within high-tech or automotive industries.
• Strong editing skills and exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Data-driven, analytical mindset with the ability to measure and improve content performance.
• Proven experience in project management and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
• Proficiency in content marketing tools and performance metrics.

Preferred:

• Prior experience in the EV, high-tech, or automotive-related fields.
• Experience with editing and publishing content across multiple channels.
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with strong prioritization and time management skills.
