Position: Warehouse Manager

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Reports to: VP of Installations

Status: Full-time, Hourly

About the Position

Brooklyn SolarWorks has an opportunity for a passionate Warehouse Manager to join our Install Department.

As Warehouse Manager, you will be accountable for all warehouse operations for the Company. Leading this essential function includes maintaining accurate inventories of warehouse stock, ensuring incoming / outgoing materials are processed properly, developing warehouse processes and improving our operations, working closely with installation teams, and managing the company vehicle fleet. As a manager, you will lead, train, and coach a growing team of highly capable warehouse personnel.

Responsibilities:

• Ownership of warehouse processes and inventory management; establishing best practices and protocols to achieve efficiency.

• Supervision, support, and performance management of the warehouse team, including onboarding, training, and offboarding of team members.

• Maintaining company vehicle fleets and onboarding new BSW drivers.

• Safely operating heavy machinery like forklifts to move/store warehouse inventory.

• Maintaining compliance with and enforcing OSHA safety regulations.

Required qualifications:

• Prior Warehouse management experience

• Strong technology skills and high fluency in G-Suite, CRMs, and inventory tracking softwares.

• Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.

• Outstanding collaboration and communication skills.

• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.

• A solutions-first mentality: Spotting and surfacing problems and presenting thoughtful solutions.

• Valid NYS driver’s license, held for at least three years, no license points in the last 36 months.

• Solid team leadership and personnel development skills.

• A passion for Brooklyn Solarworks mission and a great work ethic.

• High school diploma.

Preferred qualifications:

• Supervisory experience of employees.

• Prior experience in Electrical or Solar field

• Bi-lingual (English and Spanish).

Benefits/Compensation:

• Hourly rate: $37 - $42 / hr, depending on experience
