About the Role
The Business Applications Administrator will serve as the primary subject matter expert and system administrator for the company’s enterprise application stack, with a focus on ERP, CRM, and MES platforms. This role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams: including Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and IT - to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions that drive efficiency and data integrity across the organization. The administrator will configure, maintain, and optimize ERP systems, develop custom scripts, workflows, reports, and dashboards, and manage integrations to ensure seamless information flow between platforms.
Beyond day-to-day administration, this position plays a key role in shaping the company’s digital transformation strategy by aligning system capabilities with long-term business goals. The successful candidate will have a direct impact on improving operational visibility, enhancing decision-making through data, and supporting the company’s continued growth through smarter, more connected systems.
Role Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary administrator and subject matter expert for our business application stack, including ERP and CRM tools with an emphasis on MES.
- Conduct Business Analysis - Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs and contribute to the overall roadmap for business applications.
- Configure, maintain, and upgrade ERP systems to support operational and strategic goals.
- Design, implement, and maintain system customizations, including scripts, workflows, reports, dashboards, and user roles.
- Manage system integrations and support data flow across platforms; troubleshoot issues and ensure data integrity.
- Provide user support and training across various departments, ensuring optimal use of the business application suite.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve technical issues, including escalation to support channels.
- Support application testing and rollouts for platform releases and system upgrades.
- Develop, document, and implement policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure data integrity, change protocols, customization, usage, etc.
- Responsible for managing user access review and change management controls for financial systems.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of platform functionality, customization and integration.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with CRM, ERP, MES, MRP, PLM, QMS and other enterprise-level applications.
- 2+ years of application development experience with skills in JavaScript or C# preferred.
- Application Certifications, Oracle NetSuite Suite Analytics, Suite Foundation and finance user certification a plus.
- Experience/aptitude for creating/maintaining custom Suite Scripts, workflow, bank integration, SFTP setup, REST and SOAP API set up and supporting other customizations.
- Hands-on experience with spend management, procure-to-pay, and financial planning tools such as Workday Adaptive Planning and similar enterprise systems
- Highly proficient in SQL and advanced data manipulation, with the ability to extract, analyze, and interpret complex datasets.
- Skilled in developing and maintaining custom reports, configurations, and permission frameworks to support business and finance operations.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, event-driven architecture, and application-based data design.
- Experience managing data integrations between financial systems and other enterprise applications, ensuring accuracy and scalability.
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt effectively in fast-paced and evolving work environments.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience leading meetings and presenting to diverse audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to collaborate and thrive in team-oriented settings.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and skilled in problem-solving, multitasking, and maintaining a strong teamwork mindset.
- Additional valuable knowledge areas: Accounting, SOX, Financial Reporting, ITAR/EAR, Advanced Manufacturing Systems and Processes, Application Integrations
- To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Capella Employees must be a U.S. citizen, lawful U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State and/or the U.S. Department of Commerce, as applicable. Compensation
The annual salary range for this role as it is posted is $88,918 - $111,148. The final job level and annual salary will be determined based on the education, qualification, knowledge, skills, ability, and experience of the final candidate(s), specific office location and calibrated against relevant market data and internal team equity.
