CarbonCapture Inc. develops and deploys direct air capture (DAC) machines that can be connected in large arrays to remove massive amounts of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. With a patented modular open systems architecture, our DAC platform allows for plug-and-play upgrades, mass production, unlimited scalability, and rapid technology iterations.
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineering Intern to join our Engineering and Controls Engineering Team. The successful candidate will assist with the electrical build and commissioning of various projects, working closely with our engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Electrical and Controls engineers to assist with the electrical build and commissioning of Electrical Projects.
  • Read and update electrical schematics using SolidWorks Electrical (or other CAD tools) as needed.
  • Organize BOM-specified parts and identify existing stock items.
  • Assist with control and power panel assembly.
  • Assist with wire harness preparation and integration with the DAC prototype.
  • Perform electrical continuity and isolation tests to validate the hardware build of electrical components.
  • Wire field instruments (sensors, valves, thermocouples, etc.) for mechanical, electrical, and system integration.
  • Perform signal integrity tests using PLC code and HMI to validate subsystem components.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of electrical circuits.
  • Familiarity with electrical test equipment, multimeter usage, oscilloscope, etc.
  • Ability to work with low voltage electronics only, 24V circuits.
  • Good communication skills and ability to write engineering reports.
