Purpose-Driven Position
CarbonCure Technologies is looking for a highly capable Field Service Engineer who is comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, industrial environment. You will take ownership of system issues from initial remote assessment through on-site resolution, using data analysis and close collaboration with internal teams and customers. The role includes planning and executing site visits, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment, conducting in-field calibration and verification, and providing responsive, expert technical support to our customers.
What You'll Be Doing
Field Service and Planning
- Review equipment telemetry, alarms, logs, and performance trends to prioritize issues and site visits.
- Build weekly and monthly maintenance plans to balance corrective maintenance, preventive maintenance, and customer priorities.
- Travel to customer sites to execute service work safely and efficiently, often independently.
Troubleshooting and repair
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical issues (which may include sensors, wiring, power supply, valves/actuation, pressure regulators, enclosures, and instrumentation).
- Use structured troubleshooting: isolate faults, confirm root cause, implement corrective actions, and verify the fix with data and functional testing.
- Escalate appropriately when needed, while still owning follow-through to resolution.
Technical customer support
- Respond to technical customer requests via phone/email and create/maintain service cases in the customer service case module application.
- Provide clear troubleshooting guidance remotely, then determine if an on-site visit is required.
- Communicate updates, timelines, and action plans to customers in a timely manner.
Calibration and Installation support
- Perform field calibration.
- Validate system performance post-repair using defined acceptance criteria and documented results.
- Support new installs/commissioning as required (as a secondary responsibility, depending on business need).
Reliability
- Prepare service reports detailing issue description, root cause analysis, and corrective actions taken.
- Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements, which can include procedural fixes, parts changes, firmware adjustments, and training gaps.
- Partner withthe R&D Engineer to action field learnings and assist in reducing repeat failures.
Safety and Professionalism
- Adhere to all site-specific safety protocols and regulations.
- Maintain accurate, detailed documentation for all service activities.
- Apply lockout/tagout procedures where applicable.
- Represent the organization professionally at all customer sites.
This is a remote position, with preference for candidates located in Atlanta, Charleston, Charlotte, or Dallas for proximity to customer sites.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs.
• Working knowledge of PLCs, I/O modules, ladder logic programming, and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus, serial communications).
• Familiarity with service case management tools, documentation standards, and customer-facing technical communications.
• Strong written communication and documentation skills.
• Understanding of reliability engineering concepts, including MTBF/MTTR, failure mode analysis, and corrective action tracking.
