About CarbonCure Technologies

CarbonCure Technologies is a fast-growing carbon utilization technology company on a mission to reduce embodied carbon in new concrete construction. With hundreds of carbon mineralization systems operating worldwide, CarbonCure’s technologies inject and permanently embed captured CO₂ in concrete while also enabling reductions of carbon-intensive cement from each truckload of concrete. This innovative solution has saved hundreds of thousands of metric tons of CO₂ to date, and that impact grows with every truckload of concrete our producer partners supply in their markets. CarbonCure’s cutting-edge research and innovation have also garnered global recognition and prestigious awards, most notably the Carbon XPRIZE Grand Prize and induction into the Cleantech 100 Hall of Fame. CarbonCure’s investors include Breakthrough Energy Ventures, Blue Earth Capital, BDC, Amazon, Taronga Ventures, 2150, Microsoft, Samsung Ventures, BH3 Growth Equity, Carbon Direct, GreenSoil Investments and Mitsubishi Corporation. Our team is made up of energetic, entrepreneurial individuals who are passionate about driving meaningful solutions to combat climate change. Besides being dedicated to our mission, we believe in work-life balance and active involvement in our local communities. We value integrity and accountability; and our core values include customer success, earned trust, data-driven decisions, and straight-talk. We don’t take ourselves too seriously, but we are here to change the world.

Purpose-Driven Position

We are looking for a Senior Director of Carbon Strategy & Partnerships to play a central role overseeing CarbonCure’s carbon credit program and ensuring integrity, productivity and overall success in the voluntary carbon market, advancing both climate impact and business growth. This role is responsible for developing and executing the company’s carbon market initiatives, including credit generation, verification and sales, while educating and engaging key stakeholders, such as corporate sustainability leads, developers, designers and builders, and pulling levers to solve the embodied carbon challenge and accelerate the adoption of low-carbon concrete.

The successful candidate will combine deep expertise in carbon management and climate strategy with strong leadership, commercial, and communication skills. This role is highly collaborative and externally facing, working closely with CarbonCure’s executive team and external partners to position the company as a leader in decarbonizing the built environment.

This role is a remote position, with preference to candidates located in Canada or the US.

  • Monitor emerging carbon market trends, regulations, and standards to guide strategy and maintain leadership in voluntary and compliance markets.
  • Identify new opportunities to create business value and impact through decarbonization initiatives integrated with our existing and new products (i.e. book and claim).
  • Monitor and report on relevant climate coalitions, partnerships and unique funding opportunities relevant to carbon utilization, construction materials, and industrial decarbonization.

Outreach and Collaboration

  • Regularly consult with carbon credit buyers, carbon market stakeholders and industry partners to ensure customer success and meet market needs.
  • Represent the company as a spokesperson in public forums, conferences and panels on topics such as carbon markets, carbon utilization, climate tech and industrial decarbonization.
  • Engage with advocacy organizations and coalitions to shape shared agendas that support the company’s mission and business objectives.
  • Develop and sustain relationships with key decision-makers, NGOs, and institutions in the climate ecosystem and construction sector.
  • Promote the company’s thought leadership in climate technology through communication activities such as statements, news releases, op-eds, letters to the editor, blog posts and social media content.
