Celerity is looking for a Business Analyst to join our Northen California Utility team. As a Business Analyst you will facilitate projects by supporting the development of analytics, create and maintain operational reporting, and respond to data requests about program objectives. You will play a key role in extracting and analyzing data to support operational analysis efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage data management projects from initial request to presenting data results
- Develop and maintain complex SQL queries and objects
- Research and analyze data discrepancies, ad hoc requests, and propose solutions
- Extract and transfer data from databases to various analysts to support operational analysis efforts
- Support daily operations and production processes, monitoring data pipelines through BI reporting endpoints
- Coordinate requirements and deliverables with senior team members
- Provide timely and professional responses to business partners or user inquiries, escalating as necessary
- Identify and solve current gaps in data requirements and ease of access to ensure fast and consistent responses to leadership inquiries
- Contribute to business case development
- Manage standard, routine data analysis projects with limited supervision to present data results within budget and on-time
- Work with other Data Management Analysts to process data, analyze data, and report findings
- Develop and communicate clear, concise, and actionable data analyses for clients
- Analyze data using various statistical tools to develop ad hoc reports, statistics, trends, and profiles
- Work closely with colleagues to understand technical needs. Understand how any disruptions will potentially change a project and affect the business. Communicate with team leads to ensure client satisfaction, and provide recommendations as needed
- Develop, measure and report on various projects and providing strategic guidance to cross-functional project teams
- Solve unique and complex problems, anticipate issues and develop innovative solutions. Present findings and recommendations to leaders and coworkers to gain agreement
- Apply broad expertise and advanced knowledge to wide-ranging issues. Integrate industry knowledge related to data into everyday business practices and decision making
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
- 2 years of experience in similar or related job functions (Business, IT, or Engineering fields) that could be substituted by an advanced degree
- Continuous education in IT and business-specific areas
- Proficient in Microsoft programs including Excel, Power BI, and SQL
- 4+ years of experience in similar or related job functions (Business or Information Technology)
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and strong communication skills
- Knowledgeable about business requirements processes
- General understanding of the utility business
