Position Overview

We are seeking a multifaceted Seed Sales and Sourcing Manager to drive our innovative seed treatment strategy at the intersection of agriculture and advanced technology. Our Clean Current technology uses air and electricity to generate cold plasma, creating cleaner, safer seeds that address a $220 billion crop loss challenge.

In this role, you'll be responsible for sourcing, testing, distributing, and marketing seed products with a focus on quality control and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in the farming industry, strong relationships within the seed sector, and a passion for technological innovation.

This is a remote opportunity based preferably in the Midwestern or Western United States, with up to 50% business travel required. Join our award-winning startup and help revolutionize agricultural seed solutions.

What You’ll Do:

Sourcing and Procurement:

  • Coordinate the sourcing of seed samples from producers, brokers, and suppliers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with seed producers and suppliers to ensure quality and availability.

Logistics and Distribution:

  • Manage the shipping and distribution of seed samples to potential customers and clients.
  • Oversee freight and logistics operations to ensure timely and cost-efficient delivery.
  • Ensure proper documentation and compliance with regulatory standards for shipping seed products.

Client Engagement:

  • Take sales calls and provide information about seed and seed treatment options to prospective buyers.
  • Serve as the point of contact for client inquiries, fostering strong customer relationships.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to promote seed products to targeted audiences.

Sample Testing and Quality Control:

  • Organize and oversee the testing of seed samples to ensure quality and compliance with industry standards.
  • Document and communicate test results to customers and internal teams.

Collaboration and Reporting:

  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to support project goals and timelines.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to management on project progress and outcomes.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Demonstrated industry knowledge within the seed industry, seed supply chains, and market trends.
  • Firm understanding of seed treatments, and the needs of farmers and agricultural businesses.
  • Ability to track and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Emotional intelligence, with an ability to engage and influence farmers, seed producers, marketing professionals, and other key stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of freight, shipping and regulatory requirements for seed distribution.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and CRM software desired.
  • Prior experience within a seed company, agricultural sales, or supply chain management preferred.
  • Degree in Agricultural, Agronomy, Business management or related field a plus.
