About the Role

The Embedded AI Travel Expert is a hands-on, execution-focused role embedded directly within customer travel programs to operationalize insights, automate workflows, and deliver real-world results.

This role exists to do the work that customers often cannot, translating AI-driven insight into day-to-day execution inside complex enterprise travel environments, while partnering closely with customers to prototype new workflows, and push the boundaries of what AI can deliver in practice.

This role helps travel managers turn AI into practical tools and workflows that give them a real seat at the table, enabling them to partner with finance, sustainability, and business leaders to drive lasting value across cost, risk, emissions, and employee experience.

What You’ll Own

• Act as an embedded resource within customer travel programs, supporting day-to-day execution and ongoing optimization.

• Operationalize insights generated by Clarasight when customers lack the capacity or expertise to execute themselves.

• Automate and maintain end-to-end travel workflows, including planning, policy enforcement, optimization, and reporting.

• Administer the Clarasight program, adapting to organizational changes, new priorities, and evolving data.
  

• Operate as a voice of the Clarasight power user with Clarasight’s Product and Engineering teams to inform product priorities and innovation opportunities

Human-in-the-Loop AI Execution

• Operate Clarasight as an AI-native system, combining automation with expert human oversight.

• Customize, validate, and execute AI-driven workflows and recommendations, applying judgment to handle enterprise complexity AI alone cannot solve.

• Teach customers how to work effectively alongside AI systems, building confidence and capability.

• Help customers transition towards an AI native operating model.

Travel Program & Stakeholder Management

• Bring deep, practical expertise in how corporate travel programs actually run.

• Navigate relationships across travel, finance, procurement, sustainability, HR, IT, and external partners.

• Work effectively with TMCs, consultants, and suppliers, working seamlessly to deliver unified value for the customer.

• Act as an advisor and coach while remaining accountable for execution, delivery, and change management across global organizations.

Who You Are

• A former corporate travel manager, TMC leader, or travel consultant with hands-on experience running complex enterprise travel programs.

• Deeply familiar with travel policy, booking behavior, supplier dynamics, and program governance.

• Comfortable operating inside large, matrixed organizations with many stakeholders and competing priorities.

• AI-obsessed and skeptical, confident working alongside AI-driven systems.

• Comfortable working directly with data, including the ability to use SQL to explore datasets, validate outputs, and support execution.

• Pragmatic, execution-oriented, and comfortable doing the work when needed.

• Able to coach and enable customers while still owning outcomes.

• Thrive in fast-moving, early-stage environments where impact matters more than rigid processes.
