Your mission

Climate Farmers is a mission-bound organisation working on a systemic shift for regenerative agriculture in Europe. We achieve this through the development of transition finance instruments, a thriving farmer-led community, and supply-chain transition support, as well as the coordination of diverse stakeholders for a shared vision.

Currently, we are driving a dynamic, collaborative multi stakeholder initiative aiming to move regeneration beyond conversations to tangible, transformative actions in the agri-food system in Europe.

To achieve this, we are seeking a dedicated Project Manager to co-lead this early-stage initiative alongside our Multi-Stakeholder Manager. The goal of this role is to effectively coordinate and steer this complex and dynamic project, ensuring its smooth execution and successful progress.

This role is a project-based freelance position. Given our ambitious timeline and the complexity of the initiative, it requires a weekly commitment of 30-40 hours. We seek someone who can start as soon as possible and remain with us until at least next summer, with a strong possibility of evolving into a long-term collaboration.

  • Strategic Project Oversight: You maintain a comprehensive view of the project at all times, ensuring that project plans are up-to-date and that all team members are aligned.

  • Efficient Communication Management: You’ll take the lead in managing communication channels, ensuring that the team and all relevant stakeholders are always informed and engaged. Your ability to streamline communication will be key to keeping the project running smoothly and ensuring that everyone remains connected and aligned.

  • Budget Management: You oversee the project's financial health by managing budgets with a lot of care. You ensure that all financial aspects are on track, resources are allocated efficiently, and expenditures are monitored closely to keep the project within scope and on budget.

  • Event Coordination: You co-organise and manage online and in-person events, working closely with facilitators and the CF team. You take charge of all logistical aspects, ensuring that every detail is taken care of.

Your profile

We believe that you will excel in this role if you value a purpose-driven environment and enjoy working within the dynamic and emerging nature of a fast-paced process.

  • You like to keep the threads of a project together and make sure that everyone involved is pulling in the same direction

  • You have taken on (co-) leadership of similar projects and shined with your excellent planning skills and a keen eye for detail

  • You are confident in your written and verbal communication skills

  • You are a team player that works collaboratively with a diverse, remote team and builds effective relationships

  • One of your key superpowers is your flexibility to manage ad-hoc requests and dynamic project requirements

  • You are driven by your personal mission to drive systemic solutions within the agri-food sector

  • Your English skills are on a native or bilingual level, it’s a plus if you speak French, Spanish, Portuguese or German

  • You are located in Germany, Spain or Portugal

  • You are skilled in using Google Workspace, Miro, Zoom, and familiar with Notion and ClickUp

Why us?
  • Being part of revolutionary changes in a crucial industry, actively contributing to the reversal of climate change and biodiversity loss and changing our food system towards regeneration

  • Enjoying exquisite team retreats, with four gatherings held annually.

  • Being part of a close-knit team comprising experts from diverse disciplines, fostering a collaborative and dynamic work environment.

  • Flexible work arrangements with the possibility of full or partial remote work.

  • Access to an extensive network of decision-makers and influencers from a range of industries

  • Thriving in a fun, driven, and ambitious team, collectively dedicated to making a difference.
