Join the power movement as a Supply Chain Operations Supervisor
As a Supply Chain supervisor, this leader will oversee and optimize the supply chain operations at CFS offsite cable production site and is ultimately responsible for material readiness there. This role will serve as the primary liaison between the SC Ops team and the production team, engineers, and R&D team, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration. The Supply Chain Manager will represent planning, inventory and logistics at offsite production facility. They will develop and implement processes to ensure timely and efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, minimizing stockouts and optimizing inventory levels. Additionally, this role will maintain regular communication with the company's headquarters, ensuring alignment and coordination to meet production demands and drive business objectives.
What you'll do:
- Represent planning, inventory and logistics at a given offsite production facility
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the production team, engineers, and R&D team, addressing queries and concerns
- Lead, mentor and support a high preforming team of 2 (Logistics Coordinator & Inventory coordinator), responsible for conducting regular production floor walks, identifying and addressing issues, managing materials readiness summaries, ensuring process compliance, and driving continuous improvement
- Develop and implement processes for purchasing, receiving, storing, and distributing materials, ensuring accurate inventory levels and minimizing stockouts
- Manage and optimize the supply chain operations at the offsite production site, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
- Collaborate with the production team to forecast demand and optimize direct and indirect inventory levels
- Work closely with various parties both on site and at the company HQ to ensure timely and efficient operations
What we’re looking for:
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) or equivalent job experience
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in supply chain management, logistics, or operations management in a manufacturing or production environment
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role
- Experience with inventory management, material planning, and logistics coordination
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and R&D teams ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Inventory Management
- Strong computer skills with MS office or G-Suite applications (including Excel)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Bonus points for:
- Experience with ERP systems and WHS management software
- Experience with supply chain optimization, process improvement, and lean manufacturing initiatives
- Experience with data analysis and reporting
Must-have Requirements:
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
- Perform extended activities such as stooping, climbing, typing, standing, sitting, etc.
- Willingness to travel or work required nights/weekends/on-call regularly
- Work in a facility that contains industrial hazards including heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead (Pb), high voltage, high current, pressure systems, and cryogenics
