Important Information About ConnectDER's Summer Internship:

  • Internship Application Deadline: April 11, 2025.
  • Open to Undergraduate Students in the Greater Philadelphia, PA area.
  • Internship Dates: June 2, 2025 - August 15, 2025.
  • Interns will be expected to work 30-35 hours per week, 3-4 days per week in our Philadelphia, PA Office.
  • Interns will be expected to conduct a short presentation at the end of the internship (details TBD).

Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you ready to help drive the next generation of cutting-edge solutions in clean energy? As an Innovation Intern at ConnectDER, you’ll play a key role in developing and improving tools and processes that turn bold ideas into real-world impact. In this role, you’ll take a hands-on approach to enhancing project management tools, optimizing strategic portfolio management, and supporting key innovation initiatives. Working alongside cross-functional teams, you’ll gain real-world experience in innovation management while contributing to operational excellence and continuous improvement. **This is a 12-week internship that will run from June 2, 2025 to August 15, 2025. The intern will work 30-35 hours a week. This is primarily an on-site position with the expectation to work in our Philadelphia, PA office 3-4 days per week. **

Core Functions/Duties

  • Support project management activities associated with new product introduction and sustaining management.
  • Facilitate PLM system integration and rollout to the larger organization.
  • Support and maintain improvement processes and provide guidance for project management and roadmapping tools.
  • Assist with creating best practices for developing and maintaining organizational goals.
  • Capture the lessons learned and facilitate cross-functional post-mortem feedback meetings to share address findings.
  • Establish, manage, and maintain key internal relationships with cross functional stakeholders.

Compensation for this position is $25/hour

Qualifications

Education

Undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Business or Engineering.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Proactive and possesses a strong work ethic.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to be effective working within a team.
  • Exhibits strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills, combined with technical aptitude.
  • Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Adaptable, results-oriented, and effective at managing change, with proven team-building and conflict resolution skills.
  • Displays curiosity and eagerness to learn.
  • Interest in delivering solutions in the solar, renewable, and/or Distributed Energy Resource (DER) industry.


Work Environment/Physical Demands: Must have the ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time with or without accommodation.

US Salary Range
$25$25 USD
