Service Operations Contractor (Part-Time)

Overview
Copper is seeking a detail-oriented, part-time Service Operations Contractor to support our growing field service program. This role will focus on managing tickets, coordinating service logistics, and communicating with third-party providers to ensure timely and complete resolution.
This is a hands-on operational role that requires strong organization, clear communication, and comfort working across multiple tools and vendors. You’ll work closely with the Customer Success and Engineering teams to track tickets, order parts, coordinate service provider assignments, and document progress in Hubspot.
What You'll Do
- Own assigned service tickets in Hubspot to completion
- Coordinate with third-party service providers to schedule site visits and ensure proper documentation
- Request and track parts through our internal inventory team
- Send service instructions, media, and shipping information to service providers
- Log updates and ensure records are fully associated
- Communicate status updates internally and close tickets when service is completed
- Occasionally support local Bay Area pickups or fulfillment follow-ups
What You'll Bring

- 2+ years experience in service coordination, operations, or logistics (hardware/appliance industry a plus)
- Proficient in email task management, ability to learn Hubspot
- Detail-oriented with strong task tracking and communication skills
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with internal teams and external vendors
- Able to manage multiple service cases simultaneously and follow through independently
- Can work onsite in Berkeley, CA.
Bonus Skills
- Experience working with 3PLs or field service networks
- Familiarity with repair workflows or basic appliance components
Compensation and Hours
- The salary range for this role is $45 - $55 / hr
- This is a part-time contract role (10–20 hrs/week to start)
- Flexible schedule, preferred availability in the morning and early afternoon to work with east coast, must be responsive to tickets and tasks on a daily cadence.
