About the role
As the Project Manager – Operations, you will oversee the day-to-day execution of CREW Carbon’s field deployments with wastewater utility partners. You will be responsible for managing feedstock dosing and logistics, data collection, and partner communications to ensure projects run smoothly and meet their targets.
You will play a key role in ensuring our dosing and sampling operations deliver on both carbon removal and partner objectives. You will be responsible for hitting carbon removal goals, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and acting as the main point of contact for troubleshooting in the field.
Your work will help to continue positioning CREW Carbon as a leader in the carbon removal industry, expanding our reach and impact. This is an ideal opportunity for a detail-oriented, mission-driven operator with experience in technical operations, utilities, or field deployment projects.
This position is a full-time role. Location will be onsite at our office in Brooklyn, NY.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations at partner wastewater utilities, including scheduling, tracking, and ensuring goals are met.
- Manage material inputs ordering, inventory, and delivery logistics.
- Coordinate sample collection, data tracking, and reporting to partners and internal teams.
- Act as the main point of contact for troubleshooting operational issues with partners and contractors.
- Drive customer success at deployment sites, ensuring partners are satisfied, engaged, and supported throughout operations.
- Develop and implement reporting tools to improve operational transparency and performance tracking.
- Lead partner meetings, track action items, and ensure timely follow-up.
- Manage cross-functional workflows between engineering, science, verification, and leadership teams to align on deployment needs.
- Continuously improve operational processes and documentation for scale-up.
Experience Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in project management, operations, utilities, field deployments, or a related area.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Earth Science, Chemistry, Biology, or Operations Management.
- Demonstrated ability to drive customer success and satisfaction in operational deployments.
- Strong organizational skills with a track record of managing multiple priorities in parallel.
- Experience with data tracking, reporting, and basic operational tools (Excel/Sheets, project management software, etc.).
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing startup environment where priorities can shift on a monthly basis.

Bonus Qualifications
- Certifications in Project Management (PMP, CAPM, or similar).
