About the Role:
Crowd Cow seeks a dynamic and driven Head of Marketing to join our Executive Leadership Team. This role is responsible for leading our marketing efforts and owning customer acquisition, engagement, and retention. This role requires an inspiring leader with a proven track record in driving measurable growth through brand building, storytelling, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will excel at crafting compelling narratives, effectively communicating them through well-written creative briefs, and inspiring their team to develop engaging content that resonates with Crowd Cow's target audience: discerning home chefs and food enthusiasts seeking the finest ingredients.
Crowd Cow has a strong understanding of its target customer, value proposition, and brand identity. While open to innovative ideas for maximizing brand impact, the ideal candidate will embrace and amplify Crowd Cow's existing brand strategy, focusing on execution and optimization rather than re-invention. This is a fast-paced environment where the priority is driving measurable results and sustainable growth.
What You'll be Doing:
- Owns full Marketing P&L with a demonstrated ability to drive profitable growth
- Own integrated marketing strategy, media mix and budget to deliver against Crowd Cow's business objectives and achieves growth goals
- Lead and inspire a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability. This includes direct management of a lifecycle manager, content specialist, and graphic/UX designers.
- Oversee all brand marketing functions, including brand strategy, content marketing and messaging, and creative development
- Source & manage external marketing agencies to supplement internal resources and expertise.
- Own marketing calendar, featuring a diverse range of weekly and seasonal events, product launches, and promotions.
- Develop compelling creative briefs that capture the essence of Crowd Cow's products and guide the creation of impactful marketing campaigns across all channels.
- Champion the stories of Crowd Cow's partner farms and ranches, translating their unique qualities and values into engaging content that resonates with consumers.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging marketing technologies.
What You Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in brand building and storytelling within the DTC or e-commerce space.
- Warm, high-energy personality with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience managing both internal teams and external agencies.
- Exceptional storytelling and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to craft compelling narratives and inspire action.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing channels and best practices.
- Proven ability to develop and execute effective creative briefs.
- Excellent analytical skills and a data-driven mindset.
- Passion for the Crowd Cow brand and mission.
- Experience in the food industry is a plus.

This position will be remote "home based" in the United States, with primarily Pacific Standard Time hours. Candidates based in Seattle, WA will have the opportunity to participate in bi-weekly in-person leadership work sessions.
