About Crowd Cow

How many times in your career do you have the opportunity to help scale a high-growth startup and transform the food system? As the massive, $200 billion categories of meat and seafood move online, Crowd Cow is already on the forefront. We are building the leading brand, offering convenience, assortment, and transparency from farm to table.

At Crowd Cow, we’re on mission to help people discover and access the highest quality food from responsible sources. We want to bring people together — producers and consumers, families and friends. That's why we partner with ethical farms and fisheries around the world. Source high-quality and more sustainable food. And share the stories of the products and producers we carry. There's a lot of work to be done, and we're excited to be a high-growth start-up that is up for the challenge.

About the Role:

We’re seeking a Lifecycle Manager to own and evolve our customer journey—well beyond email and SMS. This leader will design and deliver lifecycle strategies that increase LTV, improve retention, and unlock scalable personalization across digital and physical touchpoints. You’ll partner closely across functions to bring lifecycle strategies to life—delivering both commercial impact and customer delight.

This role is equal parts strategist, operator, and innovator. You’ll define what great lifecycle marketing looks like for a high-consideration e-commerce brand and ensure that every customer moment—from onboarding to loyalty—is thoughtful, measurable, and growth-oriented.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Owner of Active Customer count and lifecycle revenue goals.
  • Architect and own the customer lifecycle strategy—focusing on retention, repurchase, win-back, and loyalty
  • Design and implement multi-channel programs (email, SMS, on-site, content, loyalty, referrals, etc.) that maximize customer value
  • Use data to uncover actionable segmentation, personalization, and messaging strategies across the customer lifecycle
  • Partner with analytics to build dashboards and performance frameworks; know what works, what doesn’t, and what to test next
  • Collaborate to build new lifecycle experiences, including triggered flows, personalization engines, and loyalty programs
  • Be a cross-functional leader and internal champion for the customer, advocating for journey improvements across teams
  • Lead and scale lifecycle operations, including creative and technical execution (in-house, agency, or offshore as needed)
  • Integrate AI and automation tools to drive efficiency, experimentation, and creative output
  • Manage 1–3 direct reports
  • We are primarily a West Coast company and work hours will be primarily PST

What You Bring:

  • 6+ years of experience in lifecycle or CRM marketing in e-commerce or subscription-based DTC brands - particularly premium or luxury brands.
  • Proven track record of increasing retention, revenue, active customer counts and LTV through segmented, data-driven campaigns and programs
  • Experience with advanced marketing automation tools and ESPs (Klaviyo, Braze, Iterable, etc.)
  • Strong fluency in customer segmentation, testing methodology, and data interpretation (with SQL or dashboard fluency a plus)
  • A channel-agnostic mindset—you think beyond email/SMS to the full customer journey
  • Experience building journey maps, win-back flows, referral programs, loyalty initiatives, and onboarding experiences
  • An experimentation mindset: hypotheses, tests, learnings, and iteration
  • Comfort operating cross-functionally and influencing without direct authority
  • Strong creative judgment and ability to collaborate with content, design, and brand teams to ensure high-quality execution
  • A passion for great food, sustainability, or luxury customer experience is a major plus

What You’ll Get:

  • Competitive salary and stock option package
  • Medical, Dental, Vision Benefits and 5 weeks of Paid Time Off annually
  • The opportunity to join a fast-growing, mission-driven company
  • A collaborative, passionate team that values taste, thoughtfulness, and testing
  • A tangible impact on how customers experience one of life’s great joys: great food
