About this Role:
Crusoe is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Specialist to support its purchasing activities. The ideal candidate will be adept at developing, optimizing and managing purchasing processes, fostering stakeholder and supplier relationships, and formulating strategies that minimize costs while maintaining support quality and efficiency for the organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence.
This role is critical for ensuring efficient and effective procurement processes, managing supplier relationships, and contributing to the overall success of Crusoe’s services. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of strategic thinking, operational excellence, and a strong background in purchasing, procurement and supply chain management.
A Day In The Life:
Develop ethical and sustainable purchasing processes and procedures that align with Crusoe’s strategic goals, develop training materials, conduct training, and ensure compliance.
Work with internal stakeholders to solicit quotes from service providers/material suppliers and prepare bid summaries.
Identify new suppliers, support onboarding, perform supplier background checks, manage contractor compliance, manage and negotiate credit applications, and improve credit limits and terms.
Responsible for leading cross-functional teams and coordinating activities with internal and external stakeholders.
Keep stakeholders informed of critical developments in our fast-paced environment.
Item/price catalog development and management within Crusoe’s Coupa (ERP) system.
Responsible for assisting with inventory management, fleet, logistics and other internal activities.
Resolve invoice discrepancies and supplier billing issues.
Perform supplier audits.
Act as an advisor to internal stakeholders on best purchasing practices.
Manage Open PO Report.
Manage the procurement request process (requisitions); confirming orders placed with vendors are accurate and in accordance with terms, shipping methods including proper use of Incoterms, and pricing/discount structures.
Assist with the implementation of additional modules for Crusoe’s ERP system (Coupa).
Develop and maintain an approved supplier list, ensuring quality and reliability.
Implement supplier evaluation programs to enhance alliances and monitor performance.
Expedite major equipment and component purchases
Mentoring, supporting, cross-training, or acting as a back-up for other team members as needed.

Identifying improvement opportunities within the Supply Chain team and participating in process improvement development and initiatives:
Inventory management and control;
Logistics, importing/exporting, and warehousing;
Procurement
Managing complex, high risk/high spend purchase orders.
Administrative and Support Duties: The position includes administrative tasks, contract routing and executions, and support for other company activities.
Possess prior successful and effective experience in a similar role.
Are proficient in utilizing Coupa as an ERP system.
Exhibit flexibility, enjoy a rapid work environment, can handle multiple projects or tasks simultaneously, and are dependable, efficient, and self-driven.
Have 7-10+ years experience as a supply chain professional, with the majority of experience in managing purchasing activities, optimizing the use of an ERP system functionality and processes.
Have a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or other degree relevant to the role, or the equivalent in education and job experience combined.
Are willing to travel up to 10%.
Although not mandatory, having professional certifications such as CPM, CPSM, CPSD, MCIPS, APICS, CPIM, CSCP, or CTSC is beneficial.
Must possess a valid driver's license and have a commendable driving history, as driving may be a requirement of the job.

Compensation Range:
Compensation will be paid in the range of $80,000 - $100,000. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
