About This Role:

The Sr. Manager, Cloud Operations will lead the operational strategy and execution for Crusoe.ai’s cloud infrastructure platform. You will oversee a team responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of Crusoe’s cloud systems. This role requires a mix of hands-on technical expertise and strategic leadership to drive operational excellence, enhance system resilience, and support our mission of providing cutting-edge, environmentally sustainable AI infrastructure.

This is a full-time role based in our vibrant San Francisco office, offering the opportunity to collaborate in person with a dynamic team five days a week. The role includes up to 20% domestic travel, providing opportunities to engage with our cloud operations and data center teams nationwide.

A Day in the Life

  • Lead and mentor a team of Data Center Technicians responsible for managing Crusoe’s cloud infrastructure and operations

  • Develop and execute strategies to improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of Crusoe’s cloud platform

  • Partner with Site Reliability Engineering to implement best practices and to enhance system uptime and performance

  • Monitor and analyze system performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive data-driven decision-making

  • Oversee incident response processes, ensuring timely resolution of cloud system issues while minimizing customer impact

  • Develop and refine incident management protocols to enhance operational resilience

  • Drive the automation of cloud operations, including deployment pipelines, monitoring, and alerting systems

  • Optimize cloud infrastructure costs while maintaining high performance and reliability.

You Will Thrive in This Role If You Have:

  • Leadership experience in cloud operations or infrastructure management, preferably at hyperscale data centers

  • Professional experience, and ideally a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

  • Expertise in cloud architecture, system design, and operational best practices.

  • Strong understanding of networking, storage, and security in cloud environments

  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing technical teams

  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences

  • Demonstrated ability to resolve complex operational challenges and implement innovative solutions to improve efficiency and reliability

Compensation Range: Compensation will be paid in the range of $175,000 - $250,000 base salary. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
