Be a part of the AI revolution with sustainable technology at Crusoe. Here, you'll drive meaningful innovation, make a tangible impact, and join a team that’s setting the pace for responsible, transformative cloud infrastructure.
About the Role:
As the Senior Director of Technical Program Management, you will be the strategic architect of our technical execution, serving as the vital connective tissue between Product, Engineering, and Business organizations. You will lead the charge in translating visionary company goals into a cohesive, multi-year technical roadmap, ensuring our engineering delivery is predictable, scalable, and aligned with market demands.
This is a high-impact leadership role where you will build and mentor a world-class TPM organization from the ground up. If you are a deep technical expert with sharp business acumen and a passion for driving accountability through data-informed decision-making in a fast-paced environment, this role is for you.
What You'll Be Working On:
Strategic Roadmap Leadership: Partner with Product and Business leadership to translate long-term objectives into actionable technical roadmaps, ensuring clear alignment between engineering output and company strategy.
TPM Org Architecture: Define the vision, strategy, and organizational structure for the TPM function; recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Technical Program Managers.
Data-Driven Execution: Establish real-time dashboards and KPIs to track engineering health, velocity, and risk, providing executive stakeholders with objective data to drive prioritization.
Capacity & Investment Planning: Own technical resource forecasting to ensure staffing is allocated to the highest-priority initiatives while clearly communicating trade-offs and resource constraints.
Risk & Opportunity Management: Proactively identify technical and organizational risks across the portfolio, designing and leading mitigation strategies in partnership with executive leadership.
Execution Frameworks: Define and evangelize a consistent, scalable, and lightweight TPM framework to achieve predictability and transparency across all engineering squads.
Dependency Governance: Resolve critical cross-organizational dependencies that block major business outcomes, ensuring engineering priorities remain responsive to customer needs.
Executive Communication: Deliver high-fidelity updates to the C-suite regarding program status, strategic challenges, and resource alignment.
Cultural Leadership: Champion a culture of transparency, accountability, and technical excellence across the entire organization.
What You'll Bring to the Team:
10+ years of progressive experience in Technical Program Management within a high-growth, fast-paced technology company.
5+ years of leadership experience managing and mentoring teams of TPMs, including experience in organizational design and scaling departments.
Deep Technical Fluency: Hands-on experience with Cloud Infrastructure, Distributed Systems, or AI/ML platforms (as applicable to our core stack).
Strategic Influence: Proven ability to influence senior technical leaders and executive stakeholders without direct authority.
Operational Excellence: Demonstrated experience translating complex business strategies into technical delivery with a focus on metrics and ROI.
Communication Mastery: Exceptional ability to articulate complex technical challenges to non-technical partners and present strategic plans to the Board or Executive team.
Bonus Points
Advanced Degree: MS or MBA in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Scaled Agility: Experience operating in and optimizing scaled Agile/Scrum environments.
External Ecosystems: Experience managing programs with complex external dependencies, vendor integrations, or partner ecosystems.
Industry Context: Prior experience in AI/ML infrastructure or the sustainable energy/tech sector.
