About Crux
Crux is a sustainable finance technology company changing the way clean energy and decarbonization projects are financed in the U.S. The company’s first offering is the ecosystem for buyers, sellers, and intermediaries to transact and manage transferable tax credits. Since its launch in 2023, Crux has raised $27 million in funding from venture capital and strategic investors and built a world-class team that merges expertise from energy, finance, government, and technology to power the clean energy transition.
Who We Are Looking For
Crux is seeking a dedicated Growth Marketing Lead to amplify its marketing efforts and capitalize on the strength of content being produced.
Reporting directly to Emily Hughes (Head of Growth), this hire will be instrumental in driving demand generation. This role is crucial for transforming high-quality content into measurable demand and leads, ultimately growing the funnel of qualified leads shared with our Markets and Transactions team.
What you’ll do:
Lead Generation – End-to-end ownership of lead generation campaigns: strategizing, forecasting, implementing, and measuring results with a goal of increasing the number of qualified leads entering the sales funnel. This may include building audiences for targeted advertising campaigns, whitepaper releases, outbound sequences, and sponsored webinars.
Content Marketing Strategy - Implement a comprehensive content marketing placement strategy that leverages existing content to generate leads. This involves planning the distribution of whitepapers, case studies, and industry reports through various channels such as email marketing, social media, and paid advertising.
SEO and Organic Traffic Growth - Enhance the company’s visibility and organic search rankings by optimizing website content. This includes performing keyword research, updating meta descriptions, and ensuring all content is SEO-friendly to drive increased traffic. Design, build, and test Landing Pages to improve conversion.
Email Marketing Automation - Set up and refine email automation workflows to nurture leads. This includes creating segmented lists based on user behavior and engagement, designing email templates, and tracking the performance of these emails to improve open and conversion rates.
Social Media Engagement Plan - Craft and execute a social media strategy that increases engagement and brand awareness. This should include regular posting schedules, engagement tactics, and campaigns that encourage interaction from the target audience.
Performance Metrics and Analytics - Establish a system for tracking and reporting on key marketing metrics such as lead conversion rates, click-through rates, engagement rates, and ROI of marketing campaigns. Use this data to make informed decisions and adjust strategies as needed.
Collateral and Resources - Develop tools and resources to support the sales team, such as sales decks, one-pagers, and FAQs, that can help shorten the sales cycle and improve the effectiveness of pitches.
Who you Are
Experienced and Knowledgeable: 5-7 years of marketing experience, with a strong emphasis on demand generation and top-of-funnel activities. Proven track record in B2B startup environments, demonstrating the ability to thrive in fast-paced, resource-constrained settings.
Wide skill set: Proficiency in digital marketing, email marketing, social media, and content distribution. Strong analytical abilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Scrappy and proactive: A willingness to take initiative and drive projects independently. No job is too small, and you’re able to altitude shift from high level thinking to in-the-trenches daily tasks
Communicative and interpersonal: Exceptionally strong written & verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and communicate to external stakeholders and audiences.
Highly ambitious and self-driven: With a passion for clean energy and sustainability.
Together, we are building a company where we:
Care for each other: We are a team where people support each other - in their growth, in their work, and towards this shared mission.
Build and improve rapidly: We optimize for pace of learning, iteration, and growth. Nobody will move faster than us.
Focus unremittingly on the needs of those financing the energy transition: Nothing we do matters if we do not add value to everyone who works tirelessly to finance the energy transition.
Demonstrate ownership: We are all owners of Crux. This is our team, our company, our product.
Convene a team that reflects the breadth of experiences in the country: We expect everyone on the team to actively help us build a team where people of all backgrounds can thrive.
What We Offer
