Cyclotron Road empowers entrepreneurial scientists and engineers to transform their bold, deep-tech innovations into high-impact companies. Located at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab (Berkeley Lab), Cyclotron Road offers startup founders and their teams access to mentorship, scientific expertise, funding, state-of-the-art facilities, and other resources to help them develop their breakthrough technologies. Cyclotron Road was the nation's first lab-embedded entrepreneurship program (LEEP) – a fellowship initiative of the U.S. Department of Energy that combines technology and entrepreneurship to help startups accelerate their growth. Since the program’s establishment in 2015, Cyclotron Road founders have raised more than $3 billion in follow-on funding, hired thousands of employees, and launched products in industries including energy, robotics, AI, advanced manufacturing, and more. Interested in joining the next cohort? Applications typically open in September. Follow this page or visit cyclotronroad.lbl.gov for updates.
