David Energy is creating a new kind of power company. Traditional Retail Electricity Providers (REPs) are outdated, opaque, and painful for customers to engage with. We use software to monitor our customers’ real-time energy usage, and we aggregate and analyze that data to maximize the value they get from their energy assets – batteries, EVs, HVAC systems and other distributed energy resources (DERs) via participation in energy markets. Our mission is to give energy customers greater transparency and control while creating a cheaper, cleaner, more reliable electricity grid.

About the Role:

We are seeking a full-time Retail Operations Analyst to join our team and play a crucial part in developing and managing core workflows in our retail operations. The role will be responsible for analyzing data, optimizing processes, and providing strategic insights to drive efficiency, excellence, and profitability in our retail energy operations.The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to think and act strategically in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and execute day-to-day back office operations activities

• Analyze retail operations data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement

• Develop and implement strategies to optimize retail processes, enhance efficiency, and drive cost savings

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and improve operational performance

• Support special projects and initiatives to drive business growth and operational excellence

• Assist with regulatory reporting and research in all markets staying abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies

• Collaborate with and respond to ad hoc requests within the organization

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field. Advanced degree preferred

• 2+ years of experience in retail operations, data analysis, or related field. Experience in the energy industry or with regulated entities within ERCOT is a plus

• High level of detail orientation and accuracy with a focus on quality and precision in analysis and reporting

• Proven ability to think and act strategically, prioritize tasks, and drive results in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence decision-making

• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, or similar tools. Experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus
