About David Energy

David Energy is creating a new kind of power company. Traditional Retail Electricity Providers (REPs) are outdated, opaque, and painful for customers to engage with. We use software to monitor our customers’ real-time energy usage, and we aggregate and analyze that data to maximize the value they get from their energy assets – batteries, EVs, HVAC systems and other distributed energy resources (DERs) via participation in energy markets. Our mission is to give energy customers greater transparency and control while creating a cheaper, cleaner, more reliable electricity grid.

About the Role

We are seeking a strategic, dynamic, and detail-oriented Chief of Staff to support our CEO and executive team as we execute on our ambitious vision of running the grid 24/7/365 on clean energy. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Chief of Staff will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's strategic direction, ensuring clear and effective internal and external communication, optimizing operational efficiency, and fostering cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the CEO and the executive team to develop and execute strategic initiatives that drive business growth and operational excellence.

  • Lead cross-functional projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment across departments and driving execution from inception to completion.

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends, competitor activities, and industry dynamics to inform strategic decision-making.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive team, providing insights, recommendations, and strategic guidance on key initiatives and challenges.

  • Manage executive-level and board meetings, including agenda setting, presentation preparation, and follow-up, to ensure productive discussions and action items.

  • Act as a liaison between the CEO and other departments, facilitating communication, coordination, and alignment on strategic priorities.

  • Represent the CEO and the company in external meetings, conferences, and other engagements as needed.

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in a strategic or leadership role, preferably in a fast-paced environment such as a startup or scale-up company.

  • Proven track record of driving cross-functional initiatives and delivering results in a dynamic and rapidly evolving industry.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information, draw actionable insights, and make data-driven recommendations.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Exceptional organizational and project management abilities, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

  • Deep understanding of the energy industry and emerging technologies is a plus.

  • Passion for sustainability and renewable energy and excited to be an evangelist of the David Energy mission to run the grid on clean energy 24/7

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $135,000–$185,000 plus equity
