Our flagship product, the dcbel Home Energy Station, is a small wall mounted device that gives everyone ownership over their energy supply by using solar power to charge their EV and home, unlocking their EV’s battery for backup power (V2H), and optimizing the energy flow between their solar panels, EVs, backup battery and the grid.

The opportunity

We are looking for an Industrialization Engineer to work with the engineering and manufacturing departments to manage the industrialization and setup production for our products.

Work must be done on-site with frequent travels to suppliers that could be local, across North-America or oversea

Main responsibilities

  • Explain to contract manufacturers how to assemble and test products.
  • Generate and modify documents required by contract manufacturers by understanding the design intentions of engineering and needs of contract manufacturers.
  • Provide proposals to improve manufacturing speed and quality.
  • By the first line of support for all requests by contract manufacturer. Be able to consult documentation from engineering to address most of them and escalate to engineering if required.
  • Evaluate new potential contract manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Identify quality issues with suppliers and ensure that they are resolved.
  • Develop and implement quality inspection processes for components and finished products.
  • Manage documentation and implementation of change requests.
  • Travel to suppliers and contract manufacturers

Key requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • 7 years working experience with at least 3 interacting with contract manufacturers.
  • Experience with electronic and mechanical manufacturing processes.
  • Experience developing, implementing or following Quality Management Systems.

Bonus skills

  • Bilingual English and French written and spoken.
